So we are from out of town and decided to stop here before going back home. It was just the start of dinner and we were a pretty large group. The staff was really nice and brought water right away. We were able to get our food fairly quick and the food was off the wall GREAT! The broth of the soups were so flavorful, the spring rolls were fresh, the herb condiments were fresh and plentiful and the N01 plate I had was straight up LEGIT!

The combo pho included oxtail and 5 pieces of tendon – which I much appreciate. Soup and noodles on point. Although the spring roll rice paper got stiff pretty quick. I’m a believer – among the best pho in Chicago.

Food is tasty and big portion sized. Enough to share with two people. I loved all the vegan dishes I ordered. The service was very nice too but sporadic. Place is not busy at all. You’re guaranteed to get a table here. Would love to return to this place soon! Close to college campus, which is great.

On 6/13/2023, I placed a take-out order for a large Saigon Pho Special, a Vegan Pho, and spring rolls (2), which only took 15 mins to be ready, and was around $38 and some change without tip (very reasonable priced). Everything was delicious, and both my wife and I had enough leftovers that we were able to make 2 meals out of it (dinner and lunch the next day). Although everything was tasty, the peanut sauce was to die for! By far the best I ever had in Chicago. The service was great – both the person on the phone and the other person that gave me my order were very helpful and polite. The restaurant itself is spacious and very clean, although I didn’t sit down to eat. I will definitely be ordering food from here again! Highly recommend if you want to try something new.

Guarantee you won’t leave here without being full. So many options on the menu. Ordered a small pho (Saigon Dac Biet) and it came with sides of bean sprouts, limes, etc. The soup was hot, flavorful and comforting. The meat cooked in the broth was super soft and not chewy.

The Cha Cha Adventures
If you want to know what good pho tastes like, come to this quaint establishment for a try. I have tried pho several times and I haven’t been a fan of the dish. However, this (I believe family owned) place has won me over and I’ll be back again. They bring you all the add ons separately so you can choose what and how much to put into your soup. They were warm and friendly and took us in to eat even though it was late at night. I’m impressed. Great job, Saigon Pho!
