Food was really pretty good overall The gyros meat was sliced thin The pita bread is the original Pita bread not the cheap fast food kind a lot of places used. The rice and the green beans tasted good flavor-wise but they also seem to microwaved to be heated. Their salad was okay I thought the dressing could have been a little less oily and had more of the Greek salad dressing bite to it. The saganaki was very good although it wasn’t flaming that’s okay. It was just nice to have the good pita bread to eat with it. And to all of you restaurants out there that use the soft fast food kind of pita bread please stop

Around the 96th St and hungry? Sam’s a great place to be. Everything is freshly prepared. Great for lunch. Since it’s made to order it’s not a fast food place so don’t go when you’re in a rush. If you have to quickly pick up then order ahead.

Errr… I understand this is not an “American” restaurant but bro the fries suck. Change the grease and slice your own potato….

I love Mediterranean cuisine and have enjoyed many great places over the years. I found Sam’s Gyros to be average. Fairly open kitchen so we saw that the microwave is one of their favorite appliances to use. Saganaki cheese appetizer- they did not bring it to the table flaming and gave us 2 very small slices of lemon. Hummus – no seasoning, very bland (as in all you taste is garbanzo). Gyro was dry and Tzatziki sauce was more like sour cream mixed with cucumbers. My husband liked the spanikopita. Most likely won’t be returning.

LOVED IT. I love a good gyro and this place makes an excellent one. The meats perfect, the sauce is delicate, light and not greasy at all. The perfect compliment to the overall flavor as it should be without overpowering the gyro. I ordered a side of fries as well and thought they were very good. Oh the pita! Wonder authentic pita bread.

This is a great place for lunch, but I’ll go there for dinner when I’m looking for a lighter meal- not that the portions are small

So good! Go by and keep them in business! Halal meat so good. I want to get a gyro every 3 days. Get extra cucumber tazikii sauce on a whole gyro. So had the lamb sandwich in a gyro and I don’t even like lamb but I loved that. These 2 sandwiches cannot go wrong and halal meat so good and so inclusive of all cultures. Guys who run it are so nice, you just feel so comfortable here. I get mine to go and just go in and order and it’s ready in 5 min! I love this place – 5 star and a place you want to eat there again after you try it once!!
