The Send A Chef on Hull Street was much larger and room for everyone to eat and enjoy themselves. I don’t know where they set up the buffet or where the people sit to eat unless there is some space in the back of the building. Staff was only nice to people they knew and were not friendly to strangers

I used to love this place when it was on Hull St but since that location has closed I’ve been to the Mechanicsville Turnpike spot a fee times. I’m sorry to say it’s inconsistent in the taste and quality of food. It’s disappointing because it has potential but falls short a lot. They have forgotten to give me food, the list goes on so I stopped going there.

I ordered the baked chicken, cabbage and mashed potatoes with gravy, the food was delicious.The food was seasoned well, it looks like a whole in the wall, but the food is good. Just mop the floor with some bleach, it was sticky and all I wanted to do was tip toe out of the facility.

The food wasn’t good at all. I spent $23 dollars and wasn’t pleased at all. The greens are out of a can and the mac and cheese had no taste. I ended up throwing the entire plate in the trash. The pound cake was good and old fashion. Try them for yourself.

I had a taste for home cooking didn’t want to cook so I said send a chef is around the corner.. so I ordered a smothered pork chop dinner with grilled onions and gravy, mac and cheese cabbage and sweet potato pie every thing was cooked to perfection except the Mac and cheese it could have been a little brown but had a good taste and the pork chops melt in ur mouth they was so tender and the sweet potato pie speaks for its self. up to the cook

I can’t say enough about this one of a kind souls food restaurant! The food was phenomenal, the service was professional and the staff we’re welcoming and engaging. Customer service and satisfaction are definitely the focus here and it shows. I wish they had a sampler platter so I could try everything at once but certainly won’t hesitate to come back!
