Wonderful atmosphere and the service was top notch; we got the open face cheeseburger with onion rings and man oh man was it good and huge!! We also got fried pickles which are probably the best we have had in an long time! Definitely the place to go if your hungry and looking for some amazing food!

My wife and ate at Shays tonight, service was SLOW with only two other customers when we arrived, took forever to get two burgers fries and onion rings( which were cold!) Burgers were like warm and bread tasted stale! all for the low price of $31.90!

This place has the Best Fried Cheese Curds in NELA area! Their BLT’s are also very good! When it’s time to eat and I’m in Winnsboro, Shay’s is where you’ll find me. Excellent food, service and the price is right as well.

I’ve ate here 4-5 times now and none of those visits were great. The last time I went, we were given a 5 page menu. That’s a bad sign in itself. It was a Friday and fish was the lunch special and it took 45 minutes to get a plate. I received 3 awful looking little pieces of fish that was fried so hard it was difficult to eat. It tasted as though they were just rolled in black pepper and corn meal. Nearly $40 later, we left just as disappointed as previous visits. I was served raw hamburger steak and the sides were in these little styrofoam cups and they were cold and it still took 45 minutes to get that on a earlier visit. My wife had a club sandwich that had so much mayo on it that it leached through the bread. We won’t be back.
