Nice diner, lots of memorabilia. Wait staff are friendly quick. Good food – I generally get breakfast, and the change I asked for was not a problem. Outside seating looked inviting, but the pollen is a problem for me this time of year. Next time!

I popped in with my 10 month old daughter after dropping my son off at school. Just needed a place to relax. The hostess greeted me immediately. Sat us in a booth. Staff was very personable. Majority of the patrons spoke and complimented my daughter for being well behaved. The country fried steak was mouth watering. The heavy could have used more pepper but that’s just me. Overall great experience. I’m a country boy and the down home feel will have me coming back.

Super nice service, our waitress was amazing and checked in frequently. The monte cristo was pretty good, I got the strawberry mayo on the side and just dipped it, which was a nice way to eat this sandwich. The hashbrowns were not great, they were kinda dry and flavourless, which was disappointing for a diner.

Awesome diner, great food, great service! I had a co-worker take me to this restaurant about two years ago. I had forgotten the name but I will not forget them again. I was looking for a place to eat after the night shift so searched for diners near by, lucky for me they were open. My waitress was really nice. I ordered the country fried steak and it was delicious. The home fried taters were very good as well. Now that I’ve found them again they will definitely be seeing more of me!

I met 3 friends there, the waitress was great but the food was less than good. The hash browns were cold and burnt, what was supposed to be 3 eggs could not of been more than 1 they were just chopped up fine and spread across plate definitely not 3. The toast was cold hard, the only thing that was any good was the bacon so for $9.95 I got 2 pieces of bacon that was eatable

Lunch was phenomenal!!!! Got the uncovered burger on Texas toast with brown gravy. Just wow. My daughter had the steak n cheese and said it was excellent. Staff was courteous and prompt. We will definitely visit again when in the Richmond area. Thanks Tony for a wonderful meal!

I’ve been here a dozen times. I’ve taken 10 people to eat here.. always 5 stars. This time was the worst… brought 2 new people there and the food was gross. There were 10+ ants in the maple syrup. The home fries and the hash browns were raw. Eggs cooked incorrectly. I ordered a side of French toast. They charge $10 for a side of French toast apparently… every table around us was complaining… embarrassing.

Went to Shorty’s with my shorty for lunch. It’s pretty good. The pastrami sandwich wasn’t super greasy like other places. They have fresh cut fries , the hashbrowns were crispy, the biscuits and gravy was decent, coffee was good, and the service was excellent! The kitchen efficiency is WAY better than Metro Diner.
