Arrived at 11:05 on a Sunday morning so very speedy delivery. Almost full of people around 11:30. I like my Tsukemen special, I feel the soup broth has the familiar level of charcoal grill flavor reminding me of my actual visit to Japan. The noodle for Tsukemen is different from ramen, it’s thicker with better stretch and bounce, while ramen noodles are thin similar to the normal somen. Ramen also has a lighter broth. In genera enjoyed but won’t recommend waiting longer than an hour for it.

I mean… who doesn’t love extra noodles at no extra cost??? The noodles had a great bite to them, and I got the mega size and had plenty to take home after eating. The shugetsu was a nice smoky and flavorful broth and the miso was a solid classic. The standout for me aside from the amount of noodles you can get was the pork belly. The meat was so tender and perfectly cooked, and had a great smoky flavor. They also don’t hold back and put plenty in the broth alone, but you can also order to have a few slices on your noodles.

This was my first time ever trying dip style noodles before, at first I was quite hesitant because come on why not put the soup in the noodle right? But wow the soup base they use is very flavorful and has that BBQ essence I was not expecting! It was amazing! Their chasu slices were thick and nice! Great quality! The chicken appetizer was nice and crispy! I did have 1 qualm though, 1 of the workers seemed like he wasn’t having a good time, I didnt like his attitude when taking my order, but everyone else was extremely nice and seemed like they had fun working there! Would come again!

This place was pretty hyped since its opening but did not meet expectations. The huge portions of noodles is a cute gimmick and the noodles were pretty good but the dipping broth was pretty mediocre. The added soup towards the end of the meal was supposed to enhance the broth for drinking but it really didn’t add much. I’ve had much better tsukemen before in the Bay area.

Came here 30 minutes before opening on Sunday and was able to put my name down on the Yelp waitlist and be first on the list. It got pretty crazy 10 minutes before opening so if you are going to come here just put your name down early and then you can go around the plaza and come back at 6 when they open.

Instead of the tsukemen, I decided to order the green onion ramen. It came with an enormous amount of green onions, but the flavor was excellent. The soup was rich and refreshing, although I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what was in the soup base, it tasted delicious.

I love this ramen place. The pork is so thick and the noodle is very generous. It might be a little oily for someone not used to this style but I am 100% coming back again. Be sure to come here early or the line gets long real quick. It was fun to watch the workers making noodle from the raw ingredient in front of you.

I went to this store 2x in the grand opening week because the quality is so impressively good. The blend of the charcoal smoky taste and the fermented soy sauce gave it such a unique flavor. Forgiving the wait time, it is one of my fav ramen place in the Bay Area.

Tsukemen noodles were great, although I do prefer a stronger/thicker flavored broth. The pork was delicious, had a smoky flavor to it. Egg also solid. They offer larger noodle sizes for tsukemen for no added cost, X-Large is almost an entire pound, barely finished. The fried chicken soft bone (nankotsu) is also very good, hadn’t had that before.
