First time visiting the hotel and it was cold/windy/outside so we weren’t really interested in walking about the city. Food was excellent, vibe was high end and comfortable. Eileen, our server, was helpful and friendly, even providing suggestions for future activities. She also gave us the story of Malort, a staple in Chicago. Definitely would come again.

Food was terrible. Got a sandwich with bread so hard I couldn’t eat the ends of the loaf..stone cold when it was supposedly grilled, with tasteless chips on the side. Fiance got a salad that smelled like rot. Took a surprisingly long time to get this terrible food too. Chicago has tons of great food; don’t waste a meal on this dump.

The food was good, but if you wanted anything like a spoon or butter or milk for your tea, you either waited 20 minutes (There was like 1 or 2 waiters) or you had to get it yourself from the buffet and we ate a la carte.

Nice semi casual hotel restaurant. But honestly, for the money you could do a lot better. Pizza was better than nothing but this is Chicago and there’s a Lou Malnatis two blocks from here so…

Absolutely outstanding food and service. This is the chefs special sandwich and believe me you won’t be disappointed!! A simple beef sandwich at a hotel restaurant is somehow transformed into one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel , give this one a shot

Four friends went during restaurant week before a play we planned to see. Reservations were at 5pm. By 7pm, we didn’t have our food. When we arrived, there was one table with guests. During our stay, the restaurant filled and emptied several times. No main course. When we tried to leave and make it to the play that started at 8pm, it took a long time to get the bill. We spoke to the manager who was defensive and unapologetic. He said because we ate off the restaurant week menu, our food had a different “process” in the kitchen. Don’t go here for restaurant week.

Best grilled cheese + tomato soup side car I’ve had in my entire life. Gouda + pickles? Brilliant. Please send me the recipe as I don’t live in Chicago. I’ll sign an NDA 😉

The server here was very helpful in addressing our son’s food allergies. Much appreciated. Portions were large, food was very good for a hotel bar.
