I absolutely love this location! Bridgeport was in need of something new and unique because there are not many options as far as food variety…the staff was so helpful and amazing and although this place isn’t a typical diner they still brought out our food and even cleaned up our table! Allison took our order and she was so helpful and kind! It really made it a good experience. The food is so good here as well and I much prefer this location over the Portland one. Easier to find parking and the outside seating area is so nice! The outdoor patio alone is worth checking it out!

I went to Tanaka – Bridgeport Village on their first day of opening which was today August 22. The staff was friendly, welcoming and service was efficient. I had the breakfast bacon which was very good. I had the donut and it was delicious too. I can’t wait to try their katsu sandwiches which is their specialty as well as their pastries. Nice and spacious atmosphere with outside seating.

Excellent new restaurant. Not a huge selection but what they have is good. The pastry selection was picked over in the evening when we went so we’ll be back but the chicken and pork sandwiches are good. The egg salad addition was odd at first but it did add a lot of flavor. A bit pricey but the service is fast and friendly. A much needed addition to Bridgeport Village.

Went on Opening Night. Food was great and the Staff was lovely. In an excellent location in the mall, for families adults can converse while kiddos get to play. Will be back!

First time in here and it was very disappointing. A friend and I went in at 10am expecting pastries and espresso (as featured on their website) and they only had drip coffee and tea. The pastry case was also very small and disappointing and really the only breakfast/brunch option available. I was excited for a new place in Bridgeport to offer a breakfast/brunch option (it desperately needs one since almost all restaurants there are for lunch/dinner) but this just didn’t meet the mark.

Food was alright but the one making the food to serve with tattoos and piercings kept muttering rude comments about my friend and I to her coworker which we could hear clearly. It had been about 30 minutes since I ordered one sandwich and my friend and I were just talking to each other about how we had to leave soon, one of the workers heard us and asked the lady with tattoos and short hair if she had our ticket, she muttered with an attitude to her coworker that we need to wait our turn. Then when the food finally came we asked for to go boxes since there was no time left to eat there since the food took so long, this is when she muttered again “why would they get it for here if they want boxes” . Very disappointed because we were actually excited to go try this place, the food is also overpriced for the taste.
