Sometimes, you need a (gluten-free) burger and fries. It’s difficult to find gluten free fries that don’t have cross-contamination. Luckily, I discovered Tay’s Burger Shack. It’s a small joint with a big following. It was packed when we ate here. I asked about a gluten-free bun, and the employee confirmed they did have one and that they could make the fries gluten free for me…meaning no seasoning. (If you need gluten-free, be sure to tell them to leave the seasoning off the fries.) She also went back to personally inform the kitchen staff that they needed to change gloves and be careful as this was a gluten allergy. The fries were delicious, as was the burger. Definitely going back to get my burger and fries fix.

A tiny hole in the wall dive (a very good thing) that epitomizes come as you are. Friendly and fast service. Burgers are “smash” style and perfectly cooked and very tasty. Fries are seasoned and have just the right amount of tenderness and crispyness. Bonus for having Siracha ketchup.

I’ve tried Tay’s smashed burgers & fries. Delicious! I especially enjoy their Sriracha ketchup. It’s great on fries & burgers, too. Tay’s dining room can fill up fast, which is a testimony to how much people like it. The servers are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. I highly recommend Tay’s!
