We were in Chicago from Mexico City to celebrate our 10th anniversary and got complimentary sparkling wine glasses. Excellent ambience and service. The food is great and their whisky selection is one of the most complete I’ve seen, it’s the bar’s specialty no doubt.

We were overwhelmed with restaurant options when planning our Chicago trip (from NY!) and we’re so glad we decided on The Franklin Room! It’s cozy and quiet and has a really great ambiance— and the food and service were even better! We got the oysters, steak tartare, scallops (for me) and the pork chop special (my husband). Ended with a chocolate mousse dessert and some gelato. Great meal/experience!

TFR is one of my favorite restaurants in chicago. The food and the presentation is amazing. The personal is very nice and honestly is my (easy option ) when I don’t want to think in a new place and I want to have really good food and atmosphere.

We’ve been here a couple times. Intimate ambiance; delicious food. Staff was very professional and courteous. Excellent recommendations for food and wine pairings. We had the Mussels for an appetizer; they were phenomenal (make sure to get an extra baguette to soak up the delicious sauce). The Salmon and the Sea bass were cooked perfectly. The Mango cheesecake, served with mango sorbet, is out of this world.

Overall a great experience. Went as a group of 5 for dinner. We ordered almost every appetizer, entree, and dessert on the menu. The food was very good, and well seasoned. The cocktail menu was very creative, and everything was very enjoyable. I would definitely return.

We were here for our friend’s birthday dinner And I was very pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! I totally thought it was more of a bar. Everything we had was delicious, even the simple thing like Mac and Cheese or Pasta. The Cocktails were also good, plus the service was great. Food came out really fast though, so if you like to enjoy one thing at a time make sure to let them know.

I am absolutely a fan of this place. The cocktails could be a tad better but not bad. Really enjoyed the Whisky flight option though. The food is amazing! A burst of flavors in every bite that pair so well together. The space is small but I love the decor, definitely speak easy vibes. Service was perfection. I really struggled with picking a plate out of all the amazing options, which tells me, I’ll be back.

Sat at the bar with Onga (I apologize if I misspelled it, waited too long to write the review!) acting as our bartender. The mussels he recommended were absolutely amazing, and his knowledge of the bourbons and scotch available at the Franklin Room was outstanding. The restaurant had a good atmosphere with music that was present, but not over-imposing.
