We found The Greek Taverna on Insta and had to try it! It did not disappoint! We were met at the door with a nice hello and seated in a booth (even though we didn’t have a reservation and it was almost rush time). Right when we were seated they brought us house made bread! The servers were very nice and friendly and explained all the specials.

Great owners and food! My coworker and I had lunch here since we were in the area. Food was great, I had the chicken soulvalaki and they had the gyro sandy we both agreed we would be back when we go back to the area. Great atmosphere and aesthetic as well inside, when you walk in on the right is a collage of the family and I just thought that was so cute and such a nice touch. Great appreciation for small business and especially family run ones.

Friendly, welcoming staff and professional service, quality tasteful food that is well prepared. Wonderful serene atmosphere, clean tables and floors. I do hope they start offering the entre size salmon as a protein option when a salad is the main course. I highly recommend The Greek Taverna, the food is well prepared. Salmon cooked perfectly; not dry, but moist and tender. Five Star experience! Definitely returning.

Maybe the best Greek cuisine in Richmond! Fresh, “made from scratch” fare from the bread to the avegolemono soup to the dessert. Cat, our server, was superb. The owner was quite pleasant. There are also happy hour specials that last until 7:30pm. Can’t miss with this restaurant choice!

We went last night(although have been a few times in the past) and they were SLAMMED. That didn’t stop them from providing exceptional customer service. I have to say between the many options of Greek food in Richmond the Greek Taverna really stands out. We got to meet the owners a few weeks back and they were so kind. Food is fantastic, atmosphere is great, and the service was phenomenal. Will definitely plan on going back again soon! I recommend the pastichio!

Consistently delicious greek food each time we go here and the staff there is SO much fun! So polite and accommodating. Twelve family members and I were there to celebrate my birthday and our waiter, David, went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome and well taken care of. We will definitely be back! Even our 7 yr old granddaughter that was with us said she wanted to have HER birthday party there — they have a great kids menu too and even brought her something to color while waiting for our dinner to arrive. Parking is beside the building and I highly recommend making a reservation as they tend to fill most nights. Thanks for an excellent birthday dinner evening, Greek Taverna!!
