Food is terrible! Salad was chunks of iceberg lettuce drowning in dressing and nothing else. I was jealous that another review said they had a half slice of cucumber. Chicken katsu and fried rice was flavorless and needed a lot of sauce to be palatable. Gyoza was decent. Sushi was absolutely a joke. Dragon roll supposedly had eel but couldn’t find it. The waiter took it back and was told by the female chef it was along the side of the roll. I took it apart to see and, at best, there might have been eel skin. The taste was absolutely bland. I’ve had better sushi from Walmart. Skip this place. Waitstaff was nice but that’s the only thing good about this restaurant. They skimp on quality and it shows.

We went for lunch alittle after 12 on a Friday and thankfully it wasn’t crazy busy. The wait staff is very friendly! The food was really good. My husband is not the biggest fan of Asian food but he agreed to go with me and he really enjoyed it!

Have been a handful of times now and one of the few places in town I go for sushi (here and Shogun). My personal favorite is the Yellowtail Special. Overall solid quality at a decent price.

Freshest sushi and sashimi in Statesboro. I’ve tried three other popular Japanese/sushi restaurants in town, and I’d have to drive to Savannah for better. The salmon sashimi was rich, buttery, and tender. Large cuts.

The food here is not good at all. I’m not sure how it has good reviews. The server wasn’t the best either. She seemed like she wasn’t interested in working, so she just lagged around when taking order and bringing food. She was kind though.

To be honest the only reason I gave it a two was because of the service. The young man who took my order was very pleasant and patient. The food, to be generous was not very good. The hibachi soup had no flavor at all. The meal came with a salad and it should have just said lettuce because there was one half of a slice of cucumber in my salad. The ginger dressing was not very good either. Getting to the entree, the fried rice was scooped out of a rice maker and not warmed up on the griddle. The steak had no seasoning in the shrimp was large but also flavorless. I was expecting more, similar Shogun. Shogun food quality is far and above the better of the two places. I know this is just my opinion anybody else should just experience it themselves.

I was craving hibachi but this place didn’t help! It wasn’t fresh tasting whatsoever and I did not enjoy my food. It tasted weird. The portion sizes are not worth the price and I’m just not coming back here.

I love coming here for some good sushi and hibachi at a good price, but wow, did this blonde server just ruin an otherwise usually good experience. From the get go she seemed reluctant to waitress for us and was very inattentive. She did not offer to ever refill our drinks and did not ask if we wanted any sauces, we had to ask for them ourselves. Yes it’s one bad waitress out of the many good but she really gave a bad experience.

Completely lacking of taste. Had to SMOTHER meal with soy sauce and Yum-yum sauce to give it ANY flavor. Probably won’t go back. Go to Shoguns if you want some good Japanese cuisine.
