Well, I guess Lamar has a restaurant that compares to it’s football team. When you get out the bigger cities in Missouri like Springfield, St. Louis, KC, or even Joplin, you never know what you’re going to get. In Lamar, you get Tractors BBQ and Grill.

This is an old gas station/convenient store turned full on restaurant and bar. Totally cool atmosphere, great staff, and really good food. From breakfast to dinner, you have your choice.

Gas station turned restaurant…?! What a unique place! Food was really good and the prices are beyond reasonable. Staff was very sweet. Definitely worth the stop off of the highway even though it’s about two miles down; Go here and not one of the fast food joints!

Hadn’t been back in a long time and today’s visit reminded us why we love this place. Deep smoked pulled pork and super savory baked beans were a perfect quick meal. Shelley’s hands-on, personal service adds a down home charm that’s rounds out the dining experience. No time for amazing dessert, but we will be back!

The food and staff were great. We had pulled pork sandwich and the 2 meat combo. Then for dessert I had the bread pudding which was out of this world good. Well at least for me. The meats were all tender. We will be going back again. The fries as an app with cheeses and bacon were good as well.

Not a bad little place. It was conveniently located for me and I was able to get in and out with a large trailer without an issue. The food wasn’t anything life changing but it wasn’t bad for the price and the waitress was quick with the refills.

We have been here a few times and the food was great. We came for lunch and got ribs. They were rubbery, just needed more time to cook. At the end of the meal, I told our wait person, the kitchen may want to know they were under done so they can fix them before more people come in. I was not thanked, not blown off, but schooled in how their ribs are timed and they can’t serve them falling off the bone. Having been in the dining industry most of my life, I know there is a happy medium, and most patrons would rather eat their food the restaurant than take it home and finish cooking it there. The kitchen staff had to know when handling them they were undercooked. I know what undercooked pork tastes and smells like. I took them home and gave them another 1.5 hours at 275° and they were perfect.

I ate at Tractor’s Bbq And Grill several years ago when I was visiting a dear friend Linda from Liberal, Missouri. She drove us over to Lamar, Missouri to eat here. The food was fabulous and the service was awesome. I really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. I would strongly recommend eating at Tractor’s Bbq And Grill. Keep up the great work.
