Lenoir City’s own local coffee roastery. A breath of fresh air of inviting neighborhood third space. Come for a cup of coffee to meet a friend on the porch or cozy up inside in the window to people watch in the downtown area. This friendly shop believes extras aren’t extra; so expect your specialty milk, extra shot, whipped cream and southern hospitality are all on the house. Make sure you try the Blue Suede Macchiato while you’re in Tennessee and don’t skip a chance to buy one of their namesake ‘ugly mugs’ handmade! Play a game of cards at the table or bring your pooch to the porch. Definitely a highlight in this small town!

I stopped by to grab a frozen coffee, and to sit and read in their seating area. This is my first time here, and I’ll definitely be back. The folks are so friendly, the coffee is good, and I love the atmosphere. Definitely recommend. They also have a drive-thru.

Great place to do business, or finish your work day. For me it’s homework and assignments. Music is at a perfect level, service is great with employees having recommendations based off your taste buds for the day. This was my second visit and was able to relax, finish home work, and grab lunch. Recommendations for a chicken pesto with a citrus spark infuser. Chicken pesto is a must try!!

Cindy and I headed into Lenoir City, the old part of the city and decided to find something small to try. We settled on The Ugly Mug. A quaint little coffee and snack shop towards the river. It was cute as a button, with a drive thru but we went in and had a seat. Ordered a Ham and Cheese and Cindy got some sort of breakfast sandwich, her normal gross super strong coffee and I had a cookie doodle I think, it was awesome. The sandwich was heavy on the meat and cheese with spiced mustard on a very heavy bun that made for a great filling lunch. The girls that were working were young and very good at getting it out hot and fast, impressive.

This was the 2nd weekend on mine and the hubby’s coffee tour and he chose The Ugly Mug. I had never heard of it but he drives by it on his way to work everyday. First off, I want to start off by saying I think it is the most clever name for a coffee shop! When he said the name I immediately cracked up laughing. After checking out the menu and reading the reviews, this one jumped to the top of our list as the next one to try and we were NOT disappointed!! They had an amazing selection of coffee’s and breakfast items as well as lunch!
