Came with a friend for dinner and really enjoyed it. My glass of orange wine was lovely. We split a roasted zucchini starter, the pesto pistachio pasta (added chicken) and the veal ragu tagliatelle. Everything was yummy. Same great quality as Gersi but easier to get a reservation.

The sangria was well worth the price! The roasted cherry tomato bruschetta and the leek and pancetta bruschetta were so delicious! The limone pasta with a side was shrimp was so good. Our waitress was friendly. Drinks and food were quick even tho the place was packed!

This is hands down the best Italian I have had in Richmond! I love Gersi already so I had high expectations and this somehow exceeded them! Excellent service, speedy, fair priced, most importantly delicious!! Also as a vegetarian I was happy to find plenty of options!! Complimentary olive bread, classic bruschetta, pasta with eggplant and fresh mozzerella, tiramisu, and house made gelato!

This Italian restaurant in the heart of the Fan/Museum district is a real gem! The food is delicious and the staff is very professional, kind and knowledgeable. The food is authentic and the Owner makes the pasta, the bread and other dishes from scratch. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. A Truly excellent place!!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Richmond, every single part of it. Uliveto,“olive grove,” is Mediterranean heaven. We started with fluffy focaccia served with a smooth, buttery olive oil with a slight bite. We followed it with a very generous portion of mussels in a divine garlic/white wine/butter/basil broth. I got butternut squash ravioli which I can’t even begin to describe because it would bring me to tears (again). All finished with a strong coffee that cut through the sweet hazelnut panna cotta. The service was professional and the vibe was warm and romantic. My. Word. do yourself a favor and try it.

Maybe this just wasn’t for me because based on other reviews I seemed to have a different opinion. I thought the food was very pricey for what we got. The food to me was very basic. I got breaded chicken with a salad (nothing in the salad only salad leaves) and about 4 roast potatoes. It was okay, I was expecting the food to be much nicer. The servers were super friendly but food was slow to come out, that’s understandable granted it was super busy. The atmosphere was awesome. Just disappointed with the food. The calamari was super tough. Someone else ordered a pasta dish with chicken and there was barely any chicken in it, maybe 5 pieces. That costed 25, which I think is a lot.

Highly recommend- good date night atmosphere, delicious panzanella and penne specials made our night. The tiramisu was fabulous. Will be returning as a regular for sure.

All I can say is don’t go here when they’re crowded. When the restaurant is packed they put up additional tables on the side of their restaurant. So you’re essentially eating dinner about 3 ft from the street. You’re sitting next to a gutter and a bunch of cars, there’s no atmosphere besides traffic and it feels like they should just turn you away instead of trying to make some extra money with two extra tables in the gutter.

If you like Gersi (I love it) definitely give her sister Uliveto a try. The food was excellent and our server was awesome. It is a small cozy eatery sitting in the old Secco Wine Bar. I will be returning soon.
