Absolutely love this place. Their tea is amazing and they have the best crab cheese rangoon in town and in the greater grand rapids area! The veggies are always steamed to perfection, the meat is always so tender it will melt in your mouth, and all of their rice options are always cooked to perfection! There are many Chinese Restaurants in the greater Grand Rapids area but we always go out of our way to come here if we want Chinese!

The wait staff is very good, attentive and quick. I’ve been eating here for many years and have never had a bad meal. Food is always freshly prepared and delicious. Prices are very reasonable..excellent take out as well…

Lots of Chinese restaurants to choose from around here, but this was a pleasant surprise. Friendly staff, clean, quiet. And, the food was excellent…tasty & nicely presented. We ordered the special which was an entree with a soup and egg roll. Szechuan Pork, Mongolian Beef, and Chicken & Cashews. A great spot to just pop-in and have lunch.

My family and I used to attend regularly 1-2 a week, but the quality of the food has dropped down drastically and the appearance of food as well. If you show up on a busy day with the experience staff, the food is great, but on a slower day the food’s quality can really suffer. The owner is known to substitute ingredients if they become too pricey.

Great food! Love Hunan Chinese. Oven never at inside the restaurant and have always ordered carry out. They are super fast, by the time I get in the car to pick it up it’s always ready and the food is good. Your typical Chinese food restaurant.

I ordered a Lunch Hunan Beef plate with Fried Rice. I have to admit the Hunan Beef was good. Not the best, but tasty nontheless. The egg roll was bland. The Fried Rice was absolutely unedible. Either the rice was really old and reheated, or they literally scrapped the bottom of the rice cooker as all I got was extremely hard rice. Either way, this place is dirty all around, and I won’t come back.

My fiance and I were out in Grand Rapids after visiting a friend. After stopping at Buffalo Wild Wings and receiving very poor service, we paid for our drinks and left. Upon searching for a different restaurant, I found this place and they had good reviews so we decided to try it. Total mistake. We should have stayed at BWW and waited out the poor service. Now, the service here was good and our waiter, Chris, was very polite but the food was definitely sub-par. I’m really not sure why all the reviews say that the food is great. I ordered the almond boneless chicken, wonton soup and an egg roll. My fiance ordered the general tso’s chicken with the same sides. First off, the wonton soup isn’t included with the meal. What Chinese restaurant doesn’t include wonton soup? Anyway, the soup was blander than bland. I actually had to add salt and I NEVER add salt to anything. The almond chicken didn’t have almonds in it, instead, they used peanuts. Now, I understand almonds are expensive, but if you can’t afford them, don’t offer almond chicken. My fiance said his chicken wasn’t spicy at all and I thought that was the point of general tso’s… Finally, the egg rolls were just meh. They didn’t have any kind of meat in them and they were served with a little bowl of bright red buffet style “sweet and sour” sauce. I don’t understand why there was no real sweet and sour sauce. I mean, the food is edible, but if you prefer an authentic Chinese experience with flavor, this certainly isn’t the place to go. There aren’t even any Asian people working here. Needless to say, next time we’re in Grand Rapids we will not be giving this place another visit. Don’t waste your time.

I want to share a HORRIBLE experience I just had at one of my favorite Chinese restaurants for over 15 years. I placed a phone order at 9:15pm and was asked to arrive by 9:30 because they were closing early because of BAD SNOW. I had no problem with that, it was snowing bad and roads were terrible. Unfortunately I got stuck at the end of my driveway in a snowbank at 9:20. I live two blocks away. So I called to tell them what happened and told them I was going to either get unstuck or send the other driver in the house, and that we live very close. At 9:25 the other driver was cleaning his car off to leave. I called back to assure them I’d be there in 5 minutes since I knew they were waiting. I was trying to be respectful since I knew they wanted to close. THEN, the second car got stuck as well. So, feeling horrible about them waiting, and stressed about the situation, I called back to let them know what had happened and that I guess I couldn’t make it. I was immediately yelled at and accused of screwing them out of $31. No matter what I did to tell them of my incredibly unfortunately situation they kept yelling over me with no empathy whatsoever. One thing I heard was that I may be prank calling them. I told them I’ve been a customer there for 15 years and that I was trying my best to get there. They kept accusing me of foul play and even hung up on me!!! I called back to tell them that I couldn’t believe they were treating me like this when my car was STUCK IN A SNOWBANK. I can’t remember when I was so frustrated. They continued to not only yell at me, but question the validity of my story. I told them that based on their actions I’d make sure everyone knew the way I was being treated, and then they said they sue me for “defamation of character.” Apparently they don’t understand online restaurant reviews. I finally had someone help me out of the snow bank. I went there, paid bill, left a generous tip for them and told them that was the last dollar from me they were EVER going to get. It’s too bad, because I love their food. But I will not tolerate such disrespect and disregard for my horrible situation. Mind you, the owner was involved.

My husband and I ordered from here yesterday. He picked out food up before close, and then we didn’t eat until later. When we opened the bag, my meal husbands meal was there, mine was missing, but we were charged for it….if you eat here, check your bag before you leave. You might be missing your meal..
