Excellent gyros, fresh and delicious, made by very kind and hardworking people. This was an unexpected treat on our beach trip – definitely worth the short drive from Gulf Shores!

While going to a doctors appointment I had a VERY unpleasant experience with a rude and “entitled” business owner. I’m handicapped and there was no parking places near my doctors office. I had to park down the block on the street and walk. I pulled into a public parking space on the street. Once a walked down the street to the office the owner came out and told us (my two 13 year olds were in The car) that we needed move the truck from in front of her business. In spite of the business not being open and there were plenty of other places for her “customers” to park, I moved the truck from a public parking space to a different part of the street so I didn’t have to listen to an argument. She was very rude and disrespectful to my two children. I would not recommend this business. If she’s this rude and spiteful I can’t imagine that she will be in business for very much longer.

Unfortunately, to leave a review you have to leave at least one star which in my opinion this place is NOT deserving of. We had one of the most off-putting and downright rude experiences of my entire life at this restaurant. I wish I could comment on the quality of the food, but my family and I were rudely told to leave and interrupted in the middle of our food order to be told that we could not eat here. Me, my husband, our neighbor and our 4 small children stopped in this afternoon to get a quick bite to eat. While ordering, my husband asked about the portion size of the french fries so we could decide how many orders were needed as we have small children. My neighbor also had some questions about the portion size of the chicken tenders and how many come in an order so we could figure out how many orders were needed for the kids. He seemed annoyed by that question as well. As we are attempting to complete our order, the person who I can only assume is the owner, interrupted us and said “we have a problem here.” He then continued to say that since my husband asked about the portion size he felt like he was going to be unable to make us happy and that we were not welcome to eat there. We started to explain that we have never eaten there before and that we have questions about servings/portions because we have small kids and that we didn’t want to waste food unnecessarily. He said that my husband was being aggressive and that he was going to call the police for “harassment.” He started raising his voice and being very inappropriate which I feel is unacceptable especially in front of the children. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by anyone and especially for no reason. We were only asking some questions about the food to be able to better order for our family. These questions in no way were offensive and we were actually very excited about eating here. This may be the first review I have ever actually committed to writing in my life if that says anything about our experience. I have read several other reviews on here that state the owner had a bad/rude attitude so I know we are not the only ones to experience this but maybe this line of work is not for you. If you own a restaurant you should know that a large part of that is customer service and just treating people kindly. We are not difficult people to please and I would say we are considered pretty easy going. We don’t expect much, but just some plain decency and some good food and that would have made us very happy. Instead, we were insulted and asked to leave all over a couple of very reasonable questions?! I hope you read this and consider it the next time a family comes to your restaurant. You may serve good food (we wouldn’t know) but that means nothing if you continue to treat people this way. I am honestly so disappointed with this entire experience .

My go-to lunch spot in Foley. Love their take on greek food, and the Gyros are delicious. Also very reasonably priced.

Best gyros in the south! Having searched everywhere down here for a decent gyro, I stumbled upon this place by accident to find that it is authentic and delicious! Up til now I only saw gyros on a menu at Arby’s and those are just RIDICULOUS. But these gyros are delightful! The tzatziki sauce was light yet flavorful and the lamb was perfectly seasoned and cooked to the absolute best point of juicy, tender and tasty. The pits was warm. And it was made very quickly, so no long wait for your order. Eat in or to- go option. I will be back. Often!

No indoor setting. The backyard has a few tables and the sidewalk has a nice little table. On a petty day both are great. Food is good. I thought I got shorted on meat in my gyro but the 2nd half was packed full! Always a good time here.

Discovered this place by accident a few weeks ago. John’s is quite small and extremely plain inside–maybe five or six tables total. I ordered a gyro with cucumber sauce and it and the Greek salad was good. Impressed with the different types of gyros you can order, plus grape leaves. Would be nice to have fountain drinks available (in a can is your only option). Service was friendly. I’ll go back…
