I prefer this place to the others on the same block because 1. The fries come with guacamole you don’t have to pay extra for it and 2. The horchata is the best in my opinion the others taste watered down and even though they have ice in them they taste warm.

I’m very disappointed with the service at the cashier (Adam) on Aug 26, 2023. First, he did not provide all the items we ordered on DoorDash. Second, when we asked to order extra sauce, he reacted with a very bad attitude, as if we didn’t have the money. Third, he refused to give us all the requested items. Fourth, when we said we didn’t need the receipt, he stared at us for one minute. Overall, I believe he needs better training. It’s very poor customer service.

so far I’ve only got there two beef tacos because I was at evens tire shop next door, the taco seemed a little bit small but they were perfect! super juicy. they are probably slightly overpriced but the meat was so good I didn’t really care at about $4.75 each it seems like they should have been jumbo tacos, so next time I may get one of those just to scratch my itch for crunchy shell beef tacos but I may spend my money on more like a burrito, I would not want to spend close to $15 just for a few tacos, but like I said the taste was perfect so if I’m going to spend my money it might as well be good and this place was very good, there’s also beer on top so come in here at night and sitting maybe out in the gazebo would be a cool start to a date night or maybe after a movie or something, grossmont Mall is right up the street and there’s a Starbucks next door.

Ordered my daughter the chicken rolled tacos…. and it came with a black hair! None of the staff wear hair nets, and it’s gross. We don’t have any black hair in my house; so no I did not put it there. Also ordered a side of rice which was more than half hard rice and cold. Only went here out of convenience, anyway. Plus their prices are higher than all the other taco shops in the area. Its a hard NO for me next time.

I really like this restaurant, as the food is outstanding and the staff are all really nice. Today, however, I went there and they charged me $0.75 for a small container of salsa. They had been charging $.50 for this, which was already too expensive, as I don’t know of any other similar restaurants that charge for salsa. I consider this a rip off and frankly am not planning to patronize Vallarta any longer. To the owners/managers of this business:

$13.75 For a Beans-rice-cheese burrito with chicken. Thats a big price tag for a burrito to begin with so with such a big price you would expect even bigger taste. Unfortunately that is not the case, this burrito Wasn’t even mediocre. A 50 cent microwave burrito from walmart up the street has more taste and flavor in it. To make matters worse my burrito was cold and had cheese straight from the bag just thrown on and served, it wasn’t even melted. My wifes burrito was also cold and had unmelted cheese aswell. We will not be returning to Vallarta and won’t be recommending their food to anyone else either. Only thing they have going for them is their fancy soda machine. you’re better off going to Costco and spening $10 to feed a family of 4 instead of buying a $13 cold burrito.

I live in el cajon and I would drive all the way to Market St just to get good Mexican food and one of my co-workers told me about this place. So I gave it a try and I was NOT disappointed! You have to try their carnitas tacos ! They are delicious! And they stuff them so you make two tacos out of one ! Not only that ! Their asada omg it’s to die for! And they serve alcohol!!!

This one goes out to the cooks. The wait is long af whether or not there is a line. It is pricey but I get the fish taco. Very generous fish taco with 2 tortillas so, boom 2 tacos. Bomb tacos with some fried chiles on the side. Also the jamaica is legit the best. I know cuz I always get jamaica at taco shops and they can be watered down sometimes. But the customer service is a joke. Man these cashier chick’s are rude. Not friendly and practically cut you off when you order. The male cashiers aren’t rude but still lack customer service. Not playin about the wait. The food is bomb tho. I always have a show playing on my phone and mentally accept the aditude and wait before I go.

Just drove thru for some late night eats, and the girl at the drive thru was awesome, super friendly, and really helpful! When we got home the food was exactly what we were craving! The carne asada tostada was delicious, full of carne asada, and it was huge! The chicken quesadilla is big enough for 2 people, and so yummy! Thank you!
