Great drinks and food with friendly staff. The food is not your typical pub food. It is higher quality. I had a very good buffalo flat bread and my wife had Mac and Cheese with broccoli added. Price was a value. Drinks were strong and the beer cold. Also, dog friendly.

We were just passing through and stopped in the historic downtown Ocala square for dinner. I asked for the portabella “burger” but they were out of caps, so the chef kindly prepared me a vegan entree of specially made broccoli “burgers” over tomatoes, with peppers and a special sauce. The creation was a success! Very tasty.

Local bar scene meets comfort food. Our waitress was very attentive, kind, and on point. Bar was very clean, and tables were not sticky, which is a pet peeve of mine. Drinks came out quickly, were well balanced and delicious. Beer was craft and local, crisp, cold, and tasted clean. Our bartender Darcy was very sweet, friendly, knew the area and was also very attentive. Now, the food… the poutine fries which were a play on disco fries, that gravy is the stuff dreams are made of. their grilled cheese is fabulous, they give the option of 2 cheeses to choose with whichever protein you like. my SO had a bacon cheeseburger, which was wonderful, cooked to perfection, bacon nice and crispy. 5 stars in my book. definitely worth stopping in.

We wanted to try something new and because it was Presidents Day many places were closed. We decided to check out The Lodge Brick City.. first reluctant because it had the bar vibe and it wasn’t too busy. As soon as we sat down we were take care of by Jordy who was holding down the entire place alone. She was very efficient and friendly. Our food came and was pleasantly delicious. We had a great dinner.

Shots were awesome!! They are doing blue ballz as a promo and it was delicious. Also had an orange dream and pina colada. I liked the orange dream better.

Food was pretty good, my wife ordered the pork belly and liked it, it was over cooked, she asked for medium rare but got well done and fries were great but a little salty. My daughter got the pulled pork Mac and cheese grilled cheese, it’s huge, I tasted it because she said it was a little rich, needs a side of BBQ sauce to go with the sandwich. I got the pepperoni flatty, which was ok but I probably won’t order it again. All in all it was pretty good just a little tweaking to kick it up a notch. Atmosphere was great with the college football games on. We’ll definitely be going back. Oh and the pretzel with beer cheese was great.

We’re a professional couple that had dinner downtown and wanted to grab one more drink before heading home. We took an Uber out so that there was no risk of driving under the influence, though we had no plans to drink to excess, and we haven’t. The Loft at the Lodge denied us entry because we had a bag with a pizza box in it from our dinner. It was nearly a whole pizza, so we didn’t want to throw it away. The prices of food are too high to toss a whole pizza! What kind of message is that sending? If you don’t have a car to drop your boxes in, you can’t come to our bar? If it’s such a problem, have a colored piece of tape that you use to close boxes or bags to ensure no one opens it. It’s a shame that people who try to do the right thing are denied entry. We won’t be going there in the future.

I had heard good things about this place. Went for a late bite @ 9:30 ordered a BYO grilled cheese and a turkey club both with fries. The order took almost 30 minutes to reach the table and when it did the fries and grilled cheese were ice cold. Waitress gave a little attitude when asked if we could have hot fries. Asked for dessert at 10:07 and was told the kitchen closed at 10. I bet if the food didn’t sit in the window so long I would have been able to order dessert in time.

This was our first visit. At first glance, the atmosphere was extremely pleasant and relaxed. Our waiter was also excellent. We had a wide choices, and I appreciated how it was easy to check what each drink consisted of by just scanning a code with our mobile devices. By doing that, it provides you with a link to their drink menu. Each one is thoroughly described, including the type of drink, the alcohol content, and the ingredients. Overall, we had a wonderful first experience, and we want to return.

I’ve been going to the loft since it’s been opened and I’ve never had any issues or complaints with the facility or the staff. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience over the weekend when I was told by the bouncer that I was banned from entering. I spoke to the manager who didn’t have much to say or any reason except for the bottle service girl complained about me and demanded I be banned. Later I was told by several staff members that the bottle service girl banned me because we used to be friends and the friendship ended badly. She had a personal problem with me and brought it to a business where bad reviews like this affect and question management. Mind you, I never see or speak to her when I’m in there. Her false accusations and childish behavior is unprofessional and not acceptable. This is your job not high school. Act accordingly. Unfortunately several complaints have been made to management (about her) by the staff and patrons and nothing has changed about her rude entitled immature behavior. On a good note, the rest of the staff have been nothing but nice to me and kept it professional. They stuck up for me and said I’ve never caused any problems and would gladly let me in if it wasn’t for the their childish coworker running “the show.”
