Our little romantic hideaway. We drive about 30 miles on old dirt roads from Lexington, Alabama to this restaurant. We can eat on the patio with our dog, Buck and just enjoy each other. Great food and a very sweet and interactive Christian family. They feed the needy in the community through donations made by their customers. If you are offended by being called “Darling”, this ain’t your place. But as for my wife and I, we love this restaurant!

This place is way too expensive for what they serve and how they serve it. Our steaks were tough as shoe leather and they served them on Sams Club paper plates. We also got checked on less than the local crowd. There are lots better local places than here. Do yourself a favor and keep driving.

Over all very normal. The food was definitely home style I could have cooked it myself at home. It’s priced very fair. Large portions. Overal okay. For the volume of the store I would have preferred more attentive service our drinks were not refilled and we were not checked on at all. The food was a little overdone but not to the point you couldn’t eat it. It was neither the best or worst I’ve ever seen.

I tried St Joe Cafe for the first time today and it was so good. The mexican cornbread was the best I have had in a long time. Such friendly workers and great food. Definitely will go back.
