Having been to Japan and having proper Japanese food. This place felt amazing. The breading on the katsu was insanely good. The raw octopus was amazing. It’s an acquired taste but I enjoyed it. The Unagi roll melted in my mouth. And they give you a proper amount of cabbage with your katsu as well. You know it’s good when you walk in and the menu is misspelled and all the customers are Japanese banging food. Prices are pretty expensive but it’s deserved. I’ll pay whatever for that food again.

Suzuki ceviche and machi chili is 20/10!! Sashimi is 9/10. Skip the karaage, tastes like chicken nuggets. Skip the takoyaki. And definitely skip the butter crab hand roll unless you love food drenched in butter . Staff is friendly and service is fast.

Went here for lunch. First, the staff was extremely attentive and kind. They weren’t very busy but they didn’t rush or push us to leave when they were close to closing. The menu is very large with so many choices to choose from! My favorites were the ceviche and yellowtail appetizers. It was presented so beautifully and I could eat the sauce with a spoon. So well balanced. The sashimi was given in HUGE slices very generous for the price. The market price for the toro was higher but it was melt in your mouth. The udon was chewy and thick but the broth was mediocre. The spicy tuna salad was so good!! Very refreshing, but it was much spicier than expected (not spicy mayo, more soy sauce and chili based). Overall presentation of each dish was gorgeous and food was worth the price.

Best fried oysters in the city. Panko crusted oysters with housemade tartar sauce. We did an izakaya set up, with lots of little dishes to share. All were good. Check out this gem hidden in a little strip of commercial spots.

This is some of the best Japanese cuisine I’ve had. I’ll admit I found the tokayaki too saucey, but the potato croquettes were nicely cooked.

This place is amazing!! I have been to this place already three times, and the sushi is the bomb. I have been to others here in Texas, but this place is always fresh! The service is amazing, and they are always friendly. I get scared sometimes if I don’t see a lot of people here, but tonight is busy for once. Which is good. If you want fresh sushi, come to this place! It is the best sushi place in Texas!!

The best Izakaya in Dallas!! We loved it so much, we came back a few days later with our friends. Where else can you get super delicious kare-age & crispy beer combo?! At this point we’ve tried probably half or so of the menu and everything, i mean everything is so delicious! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The vibe is chill, low lights and very cozy. You gotta come here! Get the hotate hand roll, especially, but really everything is a treat.

This restaurant isn’t that old, yet it feels worn down. The table was wobbly, the menus look like they survived a hurricane and for some reason the booths don’t have backers. The food was OK, nothing special. Also, the yakitori was very bland, didn’t come with any sauce or the option of having it prepared spicy. I would suggest driving the 10 minutes or so to the other Izakaya in Frisco across from the mall.

Raman broth was good. But the shrimp on the ramen wasn’t fresh. Sushi wasn’t fresh either. But the server was very kind.
