This is a perfect place to stop for lunch or dinner. The service was great, and the food was amazing. I ordered the special cod, and it was made perfect. It came with a baked potato and cottage cheese. My kids ordered the chicken strips and the chicken sandwich it was all tasty. Thank you so much for having fast/friendly service and delicious food!

Great service & really good food. Cheese curds were delicious. Good drink selection & the staff was so wonderful. There’s no grilled cheese on the kids menu but that’s all my daughter wanted &they didn’t even flinch -“oh of course, no problem.” So sweet!

We took a 2+ hour scenic drive up the Great River Road (Iowa side) to get there. We were told to definitely go for the cheese curds but, the chicken wasn’t good. So, we did the Pork T, Cod basket with onion rings / cheese curds for sides. The Cod basket said cole slaw on the menu, they gave us cottage cheese (not very good) and said cole slaw was not an option. Gave us fries with the Cod basket instead of onion rings (and the fries were soggy). The breading on the Pork T was cooked nicely on the outside, doughy on the inside. Asked for no onions on the Pork T – as you can see in the picture, it came with onions. The mayo requested didn’t come with the meal. Had to ask them for it again. The breading on the onion rings was not cooked all the way through, either. It would flake and fall off when you picked up a ring. Finally, the wait staff was slow (we were 1 of 2 tables inside when we arrived), didn’t provide us with silverware (we had to get our own from another table), napkins, straws for our drinks (Mt Dew and unsweetened tea – you have to put in your own sweetener), and did not know the menu (which was located on a board placed near the wait station). While the views outside are very nice, the service & food were poor enough we would not return. There are better choices along the river.

We have been coming here for years. It’s a great stop by boat for drinks and food. We usually stay in lansing as well so easy to walk to as well. There’s a great outdoor seating area/ bar downstairs that is a great area to watch river life. Great place to stop.

Ordered our food around 1:50pm when when our waitress brought our water to the table. We waited 50 minutes and not once did the waitress stop by again to see if we needed anything. We decided it was best to get up and leave since they probably wouldn’t notice anyways. Can’t give the food a review since it never made it to the table. Poor and slow service all around.

They have the best prime rib sandwich I’d ever had. Food is consistently excellent, the view is beautiful but I’d call the service mediocre at best. If you want to see a menu, they just tell you there’s one hanging on the wall. That’s just lazy. They could just have paper ones printed or use a QR scan code for phones (although cell service is low there)

Went there at lunchtime. Menu prices were different than what we were charged. French fries were too salty and shrimp had no taste except burned grill flavor. Bill for 3 people for lunch was $55 and we were still hungry when we left. Will not be returning.
