I had a family member tell me that the food here was wonderful. I had tasted their coconut cream pie at a family event. She advised it was right off the Alta exit of I-64 and was attached to a gas station. When I arrived i saw that they had a special for the day. For $5.95 they had the potato soup with either a grilled cheese sandwich or cornbread. My wife got the grilled cheese and I got the cornbread. I also got a piece of coconut cream pie.

Don’t tell anyone in my family, but this place has the BEST homemade potato salad and homemade macaroni salad. The cheddar bacon fries are delicious too. A great place to stop on a road trip. Will come here again anytime I pass through West Virginia.

Great food at a great price served by possibly the best waiter I’ve had in years. Perfectly attentive, very hospitable staff without being overbearing. Whoever has complained about the service here is out of their minds. The fried pickles are to die for.
