I was a long time customer with golden but after today that has changed. I purchased wings and a salad today, which I found hair in the salad. I called the store to let them know my findings and they told me to bring it back. Mind you I get salads from here every other week and they know me well. They stated the hair in the salad was not theirs and they refused me a refund. They tried to argue with me Like I lied about it or something. You think after being a long time customer they would just fix the issue and giving me a refund as I requested .They did not. Shame on you golden. Please save yourself the hassle and enjoy a meal somewhere else. If you find hair they will not refund!!!!

This place has been in the same spot for over 30 years. I have been coming here for most of it and it has always been good. The lunch specials can’t be beat for what you get. See if you can find the photo of the most legendary baseball team to ever be in Greensboro hanging on the wall. Everything is good but I recommend the pizza, steak and cheese, and wings.

I walked in, the restaurant was empty, and the two employees behind the counter looked surprised, as if they weren’t expecting anyone to walk into a restaurant at dinner time. They took my order, but didn’t bother asking my cousin for his order. The calzone I ordered took 20 minutes to make. When it arrived it didn’t have ricotta cheese as advertised, and was mediocre.

Got my order wrong the last 3 times I’ve called in. Overcooked wings and sandwiches made wrong. Upon getting home and realizing they made my order wrong, I called them and they wouldn’t fix it even when I’m willing to bring their bad food back to get it the way I ordered. The people who work there seem incompetent, but relatively friendly.

Subs(steak n cheese) and boneless( hot )chicken is good and fresh during the week. Weekend seems like there’s no love in the food. It be cold chicken be over cook. Stay away when it’s the weekend but come when it’s lunch time. It’s good and fresh then.

3/17/23 Quality of food is good but this is the second time golden gate pizza and the delivery services they use forgot my drink, didn’t check after “each other ” and I tip well. The lady I spoke with tonight said she would store credit it. I hope she is a lady of her word. I wrote this review as a bookmark and reminder . I ordered the Family Dinner on Uber eats. They did not have 2L sodas so gave me 4 cans instead and the pizza dough was horrible. On top of that my pizza was cold like it wasn’t fresh. I won’t be back
