The staff was pretty nice and all but the food was subpar. I won’t be returning. The photo attached is what I received when I ordered a “Chicago style” pizza. I was in shock and called them telling them the issue and they said that’s what they sell it. Guy on the phone said “Yeah Chicago style, crust on the top”. I ran this passed my associates in Chicago and they all had no idea what this was. A quick Google search will tell you this isn’t Chicago style. The salad also had raw pickle in it which was weird for a Greek salad. And their regular style pizza isn’t great considering the competition they have in the area. All in all I regret my purchase and won’t ever be returning.

Food was mediocre. Someone needs to train the person in the yellow shirt on how to greet guests when they enter this establishment. WHAT DO YOU WANT? ..is not the way to attract guests to your business. ESPECIALLY when you sell mediocre food!!

I love this pizza restaurant! La Ortolana pizza is just simply delicious, hands down one of the best pizza shops in the Dover Camden area! They offer great specials that help save you money during the week. There is no place else that can I get an extra large pizza for just $8.99 with one topping! The people who work there are friendly and you never wait long for pickup. This is a must pizza/ Italian restaurant to visit!

My son loves the Shrimp Alfredo with fettuccine noodles, sausage and spinach! It’s so good, and my boy is such a foodie! I get the 14″ cheese pizza. They have been our go to delivery service since moving to Dover! No pictures yet I will post on our next delivery

Great customer service. Food was good. We ordered two pizzas, fries, and garlic knots. We ate in the their restaurant. It was my daughter’s birthday and They allowed us to bring her cake in and loaned us a knife to cut it.

I always order from this place because it’s close and the foods pretty good. Today 11/5 I ordered a buffalo chicken cheesesteak and the order was wrong. I did not order pickles on a chicken cheesesteak nor did I ask for banana peppers. I asked for jalapeño peppers extra provolone, fried onions and green peppers. So a lady gets on the phone I guess she’s the owner or the head whoever and she tells me there’s nothing they can do about it because the cook wrote that on ticket and that’s what it said. I even repeated my order back to him and those items did not come out my mouth, I don’t like pickles. Which means the cook never makes a mistake and CUSTOMERS ARE NOT RIGHT at La Ortolana. After all the service I give them and as I let her know that I’m not gonna order no more from them she hangs up very rude very unprofessional you just lost a customer and I shall tell all my friends.

I ordered a large chicken bacon ranch pizza, a medium pepperoni and cheese, and an antipasto salad for pickup. I was told it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I chose to pick up the order to not have to wait on delivery times. I arrived 30 minutes from the call, paid and waited. And waited. And waited. I was told at 1 hour after I placed the order, 30 minutes after I paid that they were just waiting on the large pizza. I received my order about 45 minutes later than I was told it would be ready and was given the excuse that it got busy after I called. Not before. After. Nevermind one of the delivery drivers coming in upset because they messed up an order he delivered. That should have been a clue for me to check mine. I didn’t and when I got home the pizza was missing bacon, ranch, and the extra cheese I paid extra for. As far as quality. The pizzas, yes both, were honestly about on par with a frozen pizza for a third of the price. Even though the bacon, ranch, and cheese were missing, what was left was less than exciting for a pizza. I don’t recommend this place if time or quality are a priority for you.
