This was my first time here and I’ll be coming back. I had the one biscuit and gravy and one egg and toast with a side of bacon. I can recommend them all. I had coffee and they kept it coming while I visited with my friends. The inside has been remodeled and looks great. Thanks for a nice breakfast and a good place to meet up with old friends.

As soon as I walked in State Street Grill I felt like I was walking into someone’s lodge. Very welcoming and nicely decorated. Food and service were superb. Definitely will be a repeat customer. A hidden jewel in Astoria which I highly recommend.

State Street Grill is the type of establishment that you would expect to find in communities of 10,000 or more so it’s Astoria’s good fortune to have it nestled in their town of approximately 1,100. The interior walls have a naked wood motif and there are lounge chairs and love seats available as well as the standard tables and chairs. The Grill serves breakfast and lunch and has a regular menu and some daily lunch specials. They keep the menu simple and this works well because oftentimes concentrating on a few items and doing them well pays off. And State Street does them very well. I’ve tried a regular item, fhe grilled butterfly pork chop and found it to be of ample proportions and great taste. On another occasion I tried one of the lunch specials, a steak pita and it was fabulous. The pies are homemade, the slices huge, the taste fantastic, and the prices are unbelievably low. Nothing says desert in the Midwest better than fresh, homemade pie. The Grill is a must stop and I recommend it.
