Pretty good pizza. We had the margarita and it was delicious! New York style. Get it extra crispy.

Classic casual Italian food. We have been going to Romano’s for 10+ years and I can say it has consistently been good. A customer came in while we were dining and told us that they have been going since late 1990s, so that tells you something!

Great customer service, ordered food for pickup, everything was ready and we were greeted immediately. The pizza was fantastic and reminded me of the pizza from back home in Brooklyn.

Very average if you ask me. I think they probably rushed it out of the oven since the pepperoni would have fallen off if I held it vertical. I ate it as soon as I got to the car and took off, so waiting was not the problem. It has potential based on the crust and cheese. But the overall cook and pepperoni lacked. Price was solid though. Maybe I caught them on an off day. However, I doubt I will come back.

Solid pizza! Very busy on Friday. Be sure you don’t block the fire lane.

The guys were awesome but I cannot believe I spent $8 on a SLICE of veggie pizza & when I got it, there were raw onions, canned olives, & canned mushrooms on it!! Omgosh y’all live in the land of beautiful produce! Shoulda been $1 slice called ‘The Canned Veggie Slice!’

We were greeted, sat, and served within 5 minutes. The Pepperoni pizza was amazing. It was served hot, crispy, and delicious. Everything that you would expect for, from an Italian pizzeria. 10/10 would recommend.

Just OK. We were happy to try Romano’s based on the previous reviews, but after visiting, we’re wondering if those people reviewed the same restaurant, or maybe were friends of the owners. We lived on the East Coast and have been to New York many times, and traditional New York pizza is not hard and crunchy like this was. The toppings and flavors also were underwhelming. After reading other reviews touting the excellent service, we were surprised that the restaurant was counter service, and when we arrived, the attendant was away from the register and the other two employees completely ignored us until he returned from the back. They also highly encourage cash and charge a hefty add-on fee if using a credit card, kind of the opposite of where the rest of the world is going. In our opinion, there are numerous better pizza places in the Heights and Montrose areas.

As a native Brooklynite now living in Houston, I am never homesick for pizza thanks to Romano’s. The owner is originally from Queens and it shows. This is legit, NYC pizza… from the sauce, to the crust, anytime I’m craving a taste of home I go to Romano’s for a slice. A hidden gem for sure.
