Trying this restaurant out for the first time. The wine selection is great! The Moscato was definitely good. The Prime Rib was cooked to order with good flavor overall. The salmon had a maple Dijon flavor with a breaded crust. Exquisite taste that was not too overpowering. Kelly was our server and was attentive and a pleasure. High recommend…will definitely come again.

I reserved a table for 8 golfers, and it was the best meal we had on the trip. Service was fantastic, food was excellent, wine selection was great, and EVERYONE in my group was talking about their meal at Crane’s the entire golf trip. I will definitely be back next time I am in Hilton Head again.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would. Let me start out by saying that I had reservations at this restaurant. We arrived minutes early, and had to wait to be seated (Which was fine.). After being seated, we asked for a cocktail menu and was told they did not have one. I asked for either a chocolate martini or espresso martini. The waitress wanted to check with the bartender if they had Godiva for the martini. I was never told they did not have the Godiva, but she brought back the espresso martini. My mind could have changed based on the response, but I let it slide. I wanted to order a salad for an appetizer. She then said the kitchen would charge “$4” if we wanted it split. I said we could split it ourselves. We weren’t sure what we wanted to order for dinner yet, but she then came back and told us that the chef would only accept “ full orders.” I said we don’t know what we want for dinner yet so we can’t just order the salad and go from there? She wanted our entire order or else we couldn’t place our “appetizer” order. I said then we will not be eating here. She said she would get the manager, but the manager never came to our table. The waitress was rude and had an attitude. We got the check and left this place. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone based on how I was treated. Maybe you should realize you are in a service industry and you should treat people with respect.

Crane’s Tavern remain our favorite on HHI for steaks. Beautiful intimate restaurant with friendly staff and many menu options. Great spot to celebrate birthday or anniversary.

We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our date night here, and we will most definitely be back… and we’ll be sure to make a reservation! I can see why it’s so popular. Gerry was a friendly server who helped me choose the haddock dish that was delicious… but next time I’ll save more room for dessert. The fried apple pie and peanut butter cup.. wow! Not only was the food delicious, the service was kind, the environment was perfect for our romantic date night as well. Love this place! Thank you, Crane’s! See you again soon!

This hidden gem doesn’t look very fancy on the outside but, the inside is truly where it counts! Beautiful white table linens, various bottles of wine and well mannered staff awaits you as you enter. By far the best steak I have ever eaten as well as their house made scalloped potatoes. The cheese curds with their special bacon jam is a must try. Highly recommend visiting!

Overpriced, underwhelmed,Greeted by an older hostess who yelled at us for having the door open. How in the hell do you expect us to get in. The food was bland, my lobster tails were over cooked and rubbery,it reminded me of an old Ponderosa, only thing missing was the menu on the wall and a salad bar, the she crab soup was like eating, ketchup soup. Just not good, and price it was $250+, and they already charge you a 20% tip, so be careful not to tip again.
