Really good sushi. Tempura was spot on. Nice room inside. Peaceful. We had a variety of rolls and so if them were good. The teriyaki chicken bowl was very good too. The sushi was very tender and fresh. I look forward to coming back.

They are on the other side of town from me but they are my top 3 sushi places to eat at in Santa Cruz. The 14 piece sushi platter that comes with 6 different fish and two half roles a eggrole, miso soup, and dessert is my go to. Great prices with fresh high quality sushi is great reasons to give MG sushi a try.

My partner and I just spent the night dealing with food poisoning from this place. We normally cook our own meals but we decided to order some sushi and have a nice date night. Unfortunately about 3 hours after eating our sushi we both had the same symptoms all throughout the night. It takes a serious lack of care to get food poisoning from a chef. Think twice before ordering here. We won’t be back.
