I visited on my way home from work. This is a counter serve restaurant only. No frills but nice and clean. The Food was pretty good and I was pleasantly surprised considering reviews. This is their 3rd day open so they explained why prices on menu list missing. The chicken is smoked. I think important to note that because if you don’t know or haven’t had smoked meat you’ll be surprised. Smoked jerk chicken cooked by wood fire to be clear. Collards and cabbage very Flavorful and Mac and cheese is homemade all delicious. Try the sweet tea. Arnold Palmer style. I will be back. Much success in your new take out restaurant.

Like Allison stated it’s all smoke meat and great. The sides is seasoned well and healthy. The portion size is worthy the money. With the cost of groceries rising, it’s still cheaper then most restaurants in the areas and Charlotte. The reviews will just help this restaurant to improve on service areas. I noticed this new place in the neighborhood but every time I stopped by it was closed. A coworker happened to have caught it open and was telling me of how good the food was especially the Jerk Chicken. Well I’ve caught it open twice. I went todays in a row….And I was NOT Disappointed! THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS. Definitely stop by !!!! I love the Peas and Rice with oxtail gravy

The staff was very friendly and the service was great. I ordered all sides. The cabbage, Mac & Cheese, Rice & Peas, and yams. I must say it was packed with flavor and reminded me of a home cooked meal. I will be returning sooner than later and bringing my friends along.

Wasn’t expecting the food to be sitting in trays just getting dry… the chicken is what I wanted but it looked suspect… I got the ribs and they’re so tough I took two bites and gave up… bread was dry. Macaroni was decent and the rice and beans was super dry. All in all the food is over priced as well. But would be worth it if it was good!

FIRST CUSTOMER…..Went to order food, I ask for brown stew chicken because that’s what the worker said he had. Then he came back and said they don’t have brown stew today. So I asked for oxtails, I said will it be an up charge he said don’t worry he got me. I get my plate I had to little oxtails over a bed rice and beans. I will not be back to support this business. And good luck staying open!!
