I came back to Kare Bar to enjoy the authentic Japanese food that they provide. We had Karaage, Unagi Kamameshi, Katsu Curry and Spicy Tuna. In addition to the wonderful food, Kelly shared her experience in Japan that I can relate to which made my experience at this place such an amazing one!! We absolutely recommend Kare Bar to anyone who want to enjoy great Japanese curry, noodles, appetizers, cozy atmosphere and friendly service!

This Japanese Curry specialty restaurant is truly such a special place! We particularly enjoy the beautiful atmosphere as it’s obvious that they put a lot of thought into the small details here. As for our food, we got the chicken katsu curry, the donkatsu donburi bowl, and the grilled mackerel which were all fantastic. The presentation was fantastic and the food was delectable:)

Want to try something new? Highly recommend. They just opened in July so we made reservations for a party of 5 @ 6:30 Fri evening. Ambiance and music was great. A modern west coast vibe. (Pic) Service was great considering they just opened. But definitely order few drinks and an appetizer. The Tuna Tartare & Fried Squid a must. As for entrees, the Chicken Katsu curry, Vegetable Tempura Curry Udon noodle, and the Oyaku Don (Grilled Chicken Bowl) was .

My boyfriend and I go to Kare bar regularly and we love the staff, food and atmosphere. They recently changed their menu and have a bunch of tasty new meals on rotation. I personally recommend the curries, though it’s sometimes wise to get smaller dishes so you can save room for some of their desserts (which are often hard to find elsewhere in the US). We haven’t had anything here that we wouldn’t reccomend. I suggest coming in person so that you can enjoy the atmosphere and the fresh food. Come early, though, because they run out of seats quickly!

I ordered the pork cutlet curry and the sauce was fantastic. I expected the pork to be softer though. It was difficult to bite hence the 4 stars. I will visit again to try the rest of the menu and give it another chance.

Excellent service and good food! Their hot tea was great! Japanese style curry donkatsu, Mackerel, Japanese hamburger were all good. Their jalapeno sauce was great too. Only one thing that I wasn’t sure about small vegies that came with the main dishes. It was very dry… Not sure if it supposed to be like that but I didn’t like it. I think it would be better if it is steamed veggie imo. Overall, it was very cute place with great service! We will come back !

Second time back and loved it even more. Love the kare donkatsu combo. And their tuna tartare is amazing. My kids loved the hambarg steak. Will be back again. Will like to give a shout out to our waitress Kelly, she did a great job serving us.
