My food was swimming in a puddle of grease. Beef is tough and chewy, like rubber. Beans overcooked. I think the food quality was very poor and cooked badly on top of that. Staff is very friendly, though.

We came here after a funeral. I made the arrangements for the large room about a week before. The food was good, not great. The manager came over several times to make sure everything was ok. The waitress could’ve been better. We had one guest who has a gluten allergy. The waitress told her that they “add gluten to the rice”. Look, I’m cool if you don’t know the answer to something, hell I’m not sure what gluten free means, but I know you don’t “add” it like a seasoning. Wish she’d have just gone and asked someone who did know. And also when I asked on several occasions both before and after we got there to please let people know we would be picking up the tab on food, but they were on their own for alcohol. She never did. Just brought separate bills at the end of the meal. And this I can assure you was not a “mix-up”.

I went on Friday during happy hour and the place was great. Tried all the appetizers and they were very delicious. I’m not sure if they do this all the time but after 6:00 they had a great mariachi group.

We tried this place after someone suggested we try it. The chips were great, hot and fresh. Unfortunately it was the best part of the meal. I got a cheese enchilada and Chile Relleno, there was more cheese on top than there was inside. The enchilada was thin like as thin as a quesadilla and the chile relleno was like the chile was shredded. The rice and beans were mediocre at best. The food looked great, but looks can be deceiving. Please keep in mind this was during covid-19 so it may not be normal for these things. Mrs P got the tacos, ground beef and she said the shells were not like how she likes them. Shes the expert on mexican food. She wasn’t fond of the rice or beans. So we may try this place again after covid is lifted, but for now we will pass

Just got the bean and cheese burrito to go, tasted good. The real value came when I unexpectedly got chips and salsa to go with it!

My mom, grandma and I had great Service and food on our visit tonight for dinner. Our server was attentive and she did her job with a happy smile. Only problem I had was that its a little pricey, but other then that great experience. We will continue to eat there

Love love love this place. It’s the wife’s favorite comfort food spot. Great 2-3 item combo meals, always plenty of chips and super tasty salsa. We often split a 3 item and its plenty after putting down a few bowls of the complimentary chips and salsa. Be sure to get a “crunchy” shredded beef taco in your combo and put some of their chip salsa in it! Spectacular. It’s a fresh fried tortilla so still fairly soft but crunchy around the edges. The cheese enchilada and the chile relleno are also super tasty. They even have a Mexican pizza! It makes me sad to see their traffic seeming to go down as this place is always good and doesn’t cost a fortune. It’s a chain and there are more around. Don’t hesitate, go! Go now! You will be back if you do, I’m sure of it. Hmmn, I see some haters on some other items but stick to the taco, chile relleno and cheese enchilada and you can’t go wrong. I have had the chile Verde and Colorado and not as much of a fan

Love this place, been coming here for years. Staff are always friendly. They give you chips and salsa while you wait for your food. Its one of my favorite before eating. Recommend to come here. Prices are good as well. Like the ol school vibe the restaurant has. This place use to be called Don Jose but they changed there names a couple years ago.

Rodrigo’s Artesia and Anaheim are both excellent restaurants. You truly do get better service at Rodrigo’s then you do some of the high price restaurants.
