Went for lunch on Sunday and was very impressed with the lunch menu! I ordered the five spice grilled beef with rice. Also great ambience and decor inside. They won’t seat you until all parties arrive. Make sure to try the egg coffee here and ask for light ice! I will be coming back to try their dinner menu as lunch menu is limited.

I overall enjoyed my experience at Hem. The ambience was nice and our server was fantastic. It was my first time here and he offered me recommendations and periodically checked up on us. I ordered the Thai Style Shrimp, skewer combo, mini egg rolls, and crispy pork. The Thai style shrimp and mini egg rolls were delicious. Although their pork was crispy, there wasn’t much flavor. You also have to ask for a side of rice, it doesn’t come with your orders. I would come again to try their lunch menu.

A newly open place for drinks and gathering. HEM means alley in Vietnamese, and the place is decorated like a street alley. Lunch menu is limited, compared to the dinner menu. Service is fast and friendly. The dishes were just ok, ordered the recommended dishes. The sizzling beef was on the tough side, and small bones/rib cartilage in the pork.

The interior design of this place was so cute! It definitely had the vibe of being in Vietnam. I would say it’s a great experience! The service was very attentive and pretty fast. The food was not that great and lacked a lot of flavor especially the fried rice.

HEM is an awesome spot for lunch! They just expanded their menu and it’s incredible. Flavors are on point. Steak and eggs with bone marrow was my favorite. The shaken beef was also delicious and loved the broken rice. Oh and don’t forget to order the egg coffee! They were so sweet and remade mine since it had been sitting out a little before I had a chance to try and I’m so glad they did! I don’t even like coffee, but y’all it was perfect. It has a slight flan taste, sweet and has a strong coffee taste. Very good! Can’t wait to go back to try the dinner menu. It had a lot more options, but the lunch menu has a ton of decent items to order. Definitely recommend giving them a try!!

This place is hands down, just amazing! The minute you walk in, you have to appreciate the incredible ambiance and decor. The food was incredibly delicious. Very well flavored! We had the Thai Squid Salad, which we wanted to order another one, since the flavor was mouth watering. We also had the Crispy Pork Belly, which is to die for! Next time we are ordering the Scallops and Scallions. The service was top notch. You won’t find any other place like this in Houston! This place has it all.
