We decided to pop in for dinner based on a recent write-up in Eater. What we didn’t expect was to see their commitment to creating community. Over the course of our meal a small gathering grew to more than 30 — all BIPOC professionals networking with each other. The owner brought us tastes of wine and an incredible sample of the creamiest grits ever. We also enjoyed talking to her husband, who helps run the show. It’s nice to see such a lovely couple cultivate this space into such a welcoming atmosphere. The food is sophisticated yet comforting. We can’t wait to try brunch.
