I visited this restaurant about a week and a half ago. When I walked in, I realized this was not the old Vietnamese restaurant that I had visited before. I saw and spoke with a young Afghanistan man, and he directed me to look at some of the merchandise and I ended up buying a pair of shoes. I wasn’t alarmed until his brother approached. The merchant said it was his brother, in the process of talking to him which was just chitchat to me, he indicated that he was looking for a woman 40 and older. I thought that comment was odd and then I realized you know this is a different culture. Obviously I think I had inadvertently might have asked if they were married. To divert the conversation, I said your restaurant looks nice but the conversation turned to looking for a woman, which seemed a little bit creepy , I thought OK I just need to get out of here because it was just the two-men and myself, and I had my merchandise in my hand. Women need to be aware that when they walk into any establishment and she’s the only person just one or the two proprietors that they need to be aware of their surroundings, which I was, I felt that the conversation had turned to the the older proprietor looking for a woman “over 40”was speaking to the older man who said he was a younger man‘s brother, but when the conversation turned to him and he said he wanted to meet a 40 year or older woman, it was inappropriate. This posting is one of advising anyone to exercise caution if they are in an establishment and the conversation turns creepy. I will not return to this place, not even with my husband.
