Let me start by saying that I prefer a different style of BBQ, so for me it was average quality and taste. However I loved the worn-in comfortable ambiance of the place. Overall I’d give it 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

For a simple bbq that has an old school feel to it. This place is great. You can smell the amazing food as soon as you step out of your car in the parking lot. It’s counter service, which I think is perfect. The food was amazing. I’m definitely coming back to try the pulled pork that they only serve on certain days.

Not worth the price. The BBQ sauce tasted like a can of stewed tomatoes. Watery, Chucky, not good at all. The meat was thin and hard to chew. The place looks like it hasn’t been updated since it opened. My first and last visit.

Old fashioned mom and pop barbecue place. Nice to see places like this still around.

This is one of my favorite places. I’ve been going here for over 50 years. Nothing has changed. Simple good bbq. The beef sandwich is my go to meal.

This place is consistently the BEST smoked ham, hands down!!! I have been coming here since tge 70s and every time I come back into town, I have to go to a few favorite food places with The Wrangler BBQ Pit at the top of the list. The atmosphere is still the 70s & 80s decor but who cares when the smoked ham and beef are the bomb! You will know the second you walk thru the front door and that delicious smokey smell hits your senses, that you are in the right place. Try the navy bean soup, too, with a slice of pie.

This place like the BBQ place in National City I just love the roast beef. It’s better here. They are excellent here for the Roast Beef. Better than any other place I have been too.

The Wrangler and people who own it and work there have always been the greatest. The quality of the food is superb. The place is rustic and I love everything about the Wrangler. Going there is like being with family.

Great BBQ and all the fixings skip Arby’s and come some real food. Just a landmark destination that does not disappoint.
