The food was fire!!! The server was gracious and attentive. Best sushi I have had since I have since moving to Florida. The prices are very reasonable too. Recommend going to Akira if you are a sushi lover.

My family and I have been dining here for many years. Never have we ever had any sort of less than phenomenal service from Akira. The food is substantially above other sushi and hibachi restaurants that we have frequented! Every single visit is another fabulous opportunity to indulge in scrumptious fare that is rarely found elsewhere!

Akira managed to deliver an extraordinary dining experience with their hibachi chicken takeout, all thanks to the delightful cashier, Anna. From the moment I placed my order, she ensured everything was seamless and efficient, setting the stage for a delightful meal.

Their tableside Hibachi has closed the only way you can order Hibachi is through the kitchen which is misleading. My sister wanted Hibachi for her birthday and the timing that we went to a different restaurant they were closing for their midday break so we chose this location and when we went in we were shocked that there was no tableside hibachi for a restaurant that advertises itself as a Hibachi Grill. The food was decent service was great atmosphere was kind of quiet as we were the only party in there for a vast majority of the time. I won’t say don’t go there but don’t go there expecting the full Hibachi experience.

Went for Mother’s Day dinner. On Jim soon had scallions instead of fried onions which left a terrible after taste. For appetizer we have tempura. The tempura offers 2 pieces of shrimp, chicken, or steak and 5 gross deep fried veggies that had no flavor. Upon explaining that it could do without the veggies, I was told well next time hold the veggies and you get an 3rd shrimp. We each had hibachi. The hibachi steak my husband and i had was over cooked, my daughters chicken over cooked. The only thing that was tasty was the fried rice. Our bill was over $110 and the only two drinks that were ordered was 1 house wine and a kids lemonade. Akira used to be really good. We will never go back.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! Our waitress was very nice. My friends loved their Hibachi dishes and my Yellowtail roll and Crazy Kiki Roll were both very fresh and tasty. I will eat here again

How sad that this took such a bad turn. Poke bowl had NO poke – just ground up slop or something, served in a cardboard bowl. Waitress tried explaining what poke was – laughable as she was lying saying that’s how it’s made there. Gross. Daughter’s stir-fry was nothing but chicken (frozen) and onions. The sushi was ok, but nothing i would return for ( kinda mushy) Vibe is hurting – no hibachi style cooking at all ( Saturday night???) so very disappointing. Bathroom a mess needing repair. First time ever took no leftovers home. I hope they are able to turn thing around!

The first time we went here they still had the grills and cooked in front of you. Now they’ve done away with them and I believe it’s affected the speed of service. We’ve been twice since they’ve gotten rid of them. Only one waitress and maybe a manager on the flood On valentine’s day and they were ridiculously busy. Food was kinda sloppily prepared and the sushi wasn’t as good as what I’m used to at other Japanese places. On a better note. Regardless of how busy it was service was still great. Little lady was running around like crazy. Prices are good too.
