Had an early dinner at Long John Silver’s at the Mall of America today. First off, the people taking our order were rude. As for the food, it was exactly as I remember from CA. It was freshly made to order so everything was piping hot… real good. They actually had malt vinegar, always a must for fish in my house! So 4.1 stars for this place. I would suggest the folks taking the order were more polite.

I ordered a combo dish that supposed to have hushed puppies, fried fish and chicken and french fries. It’s comes with a side of corn. The corn tasted like something came out of a can. The chicken was a thin sliced of chicken meat and over battered and deep fried. The fish was cooked the same way. Both items were over battered with very little meat in it. The beverage was non refillable. The atmosphere was kinda chaotic for a shopping mall during the week. The meals itself was over priced.

Went here earlier today for a late lunch with a guest, got 2 of the special $14.99 – 2 pieces of fish, 6 pieces of shrimp, 2 hush puppies and 2 sides to choose from a list, I got coleslaw and fresh french fries, drink not included. Large drink $3.99! (and no refills!?) Anyway the staff that took the order was a little rude (like how dare you order food when I’m busy chatting etc…) I digress, ignored this and waited for the food. Now I did noticed that the fish was cut thinner (but a lot of places have done cut backs due to past events) but unlike another reviewer mine wasn’t over battered, mine was just right and the shrimp was great also (THEY HAD MALT VINGAR! A must have for my fish! ). Served on top of batter bits just like I remembered Everything was fresh and hot except for the coleslaw (but it was crisp and very good ) all was well prepared. The atmosphere isn’t their fault it is the MOA. All in all I am satisfied with the quality and flavor of the entire meal ( just wish the fish was a little thicker ‍♂️)

We were excited to find a Long John Silvers at MOA. Perhaps this might be the only one in Minnesota. We always enjoyed their food. It’s good seafood. Our plates was delicious and hot. The shrimp was very large and delicious. Hush puppies and fish were good. Just wish they were closer to home.

Loved it!!! I had not had this in over 20 years. So bad that this is the only one in the entire state of Minnesota, and hard to get to. But it is as delicious as I remember it, and in comparison to other fast foods, this is the best deal anywhere, portion for portion. Hot and delicious, made to order!!!

I hope you like raw chicken… it’s not that hard to fry up chicken till it’s fully done. We’ll be lucky if we don’t get salmonella from this…

I love the chicken . Last place in state to get it . Posted time is 10:30 am open today . I been waiting a half hour already . Still not open . Reading all the reviews from this place has me worried.

My girlfriend and I each ordered a platter from them. When the order came out I specifically asked them to make sure there was silverware, napkins, and condiments for both of our meals since they put both in one bag instead of giving us each one. There was no eating in the mall so we had to bring it out to the truck which was half way across and one level down. On getting to the truck lo and behold no silverware. I had to leave my girlfriend in the truck while I went all the way back to get utensils which meant I was going to get cold food.
