Hidden behind Rubiner’s cheese mongers is this delightful coffee and sandwich shop. The atmosphere is old school with beautiful tree decor in the dining area. The sandwiches were made with the fantastic cheese from next door and tasted amazing. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

The only reason why I am writing this review is in the hopes that the owner or manager of the establishment talks to their staff. Overall this is a very cute place and I will admit the coffee and food is very good. However, the staff is very dismissive, cold and often rude. I have come back a few times thinking maybe they just had a bad day, or we came after a huge rush but I have come to terms with I’m just making excuses and this is just the way they are. I took my Father there a few weeks ago and there was no one on line, we went up to the register and patiently waited a few minutes while staff had their backs turned to us but absolutely noticed us. I had to finally say “Hello, can we please place an order” – which was met with a “yep, we need a minute” whilst still having backs turned to us. Then when they took our order it was a CHORE for them! meanwhile we ordered 2 small coffees. (Super simple!)

Unbelievably rude staff- when nobody else was even in line. Listen, if you don’t want to deal with the public or pour coffee, best not to work at a coffee shop probably. It’s easy to have some humanity and acknowledge one another with some mutual respect and consideration.

Let me start by saying the iced chai was fantastic. Probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was very nice, the shop itself is a good place to sit with your computer and have a cup of chai. The staff however, were very dismissive and I’d say borderline rude. I usually won’t complain if the staff are just reserved or quiet, but this staff just seemed irritated by everything. I definitely will visit again because like I said, the quality of drink is great but will not expect anything from the staff.

This place is ridiculous! Very unprofessional staff! Basically they take your order and then forget they’re at work! 30 minutes to make one grilled cheese sandwich! The girl making the sandwiches was beating on the bread as if it was a drum to the music in her head! I just can’t believe that even with 4 people behind the counter the service was terrible!! I will never go back! Total waste of time and money! $15.50 for a grilled cheese sandwich!! NEVER AGAIN! The website prices don’t match the ACTUAL prices in the cafe!! I would give it zero stars if I could!

Nice place and good coffee and bakeries, however the staff seems to be not up to task and borderline rude. They definitely aren’t friendly and give you the sense that they really don’t care about you. This is my third time here, and every time I come, I wait more than I should.
