I’m always hesitant when trying new places but this was definitely worth it. My favorite was the chicken & fries but my friend got the Salmon nuggets. Said they were REALLY GOOD. FINALLY a fresh spot close by. Will definitely be a new ‘go-to’ said 20 min but was ready in 15.

Incredible soul food and one of my favorite food places in South Jersey so far. The soul bowls were amazing and I highly recommend ordering one. Food was AMAZING! Last time, I got the garlic parm wings (naked) and you can not go wrong!! They were delicious!! Cooked just right and perfect amount of sauce! The atmosphere is nice too! Awesome staff & karaoke was fun. A must try if you’re in the area.

My boyfriend and I ordered takeout from Nellies and we were blown away by the delicious, high-quality, and homemade food. As newcomers to the area, we were thrilled to find such a hidden gem. Every dish was bursting with unbelievable flavors, especially the Nola’s Shrimp Po Boy which was perfectly lightly breaded and the sauce was to die for, next time I am going to ask for extra shrimp for the sandwich as the shrimp was so good. We also enjoyed the honey bread, soul roll, breaded chicken wings with hot honey sauce, seasoned fries, and jaws sandwich – all were absolutely delicious. The standout dish for me was the soul roll, with its unique and flavorful combination of ingredients. From the kind and helpful lady who took our order to the last bite of food, the entire experience was great. If you’re in the area, Nellies is a must-visit restaurant.

Nah. I’m not paying $5 for microwaved greens. This place used to be the go to now it’s empty and the food is not even sub par. I normally try and support black owned businesses but I’ll be surprised if they last thru summer with this type of practices.

I went for the first time and was blown away, everything’s homemade the chef is seriously talented I got to meet him and he was very genuine asked me how everything was. I had my kids and the staff was so friendly , they only thing I can say is that it takes a while for them to get everything made but it’s completely worth it to me, I’ll probably eat at least 2x a week here

I don’t even know how to describe just how perfect every meal I have had there had been. Soul Bowl with chicken and yams and Mac is good enough to write home about. The food is fresh and made to order. You taste how much love went into every single thing they make and when that Peach Cobbler comes live, i may never leave. You need to try this. Not only is it one of the best Soul Food places in the area, it might be the best Soul Food in the State. It’s definitely the best I have ever had. 10/10.

Went in one night when everything was closed. Let’s just say we have been back everyday since. This restaurant is owned by an amazing family. They give back so much to the kids in the community. Food is amazing. My son who is a picky eater ask for this several times a week. We are beyond grateful to have them walking distance to us.
