At 930 in the morning, I noticed the flavor was there, but having a pre-cooked bacon hash brown patty and pre-toasted toast was not the way to go. The bacon was hard, my toast was hard, and the hash brown was hard as a rock. I asked for butter on my toast and didn’t get it. It took us longer to be seated and to give our order than it was to receive our food; it was only three other seated tables in there, so it was slow. I should have known. We were never checked back on. We were not greeted by the wife when she came in, who is also the owner. She walked passed us twice. When we went to the counter to check out, we still were not welcomed by her. She didn’t ask how our food was or anything. She only told us our total. In my opinion, many items should be cooked to order, and bacon and toast are one! The great part of my birthday breakfast today was only the atmosphere. I love the blues-jazz theme. I may not ever go back

The restaurant was nice and clean including the bathroom. The customer service needs improvement. The waiter set us immediately. Took 5 minutes to place the order. The waiter needs to know the items on the menu. Never tell a customer, they don’t know ask another coworker. The food was served on paper plate. Along with plastic ware . Food was ok. The server didn’t bring us our bill. I went to the counter to get the bill. Overall it was a nice place.

Gave a tip only because of the welcoming interior. I ordered the 4 piece catfish with two sides. This was not a meaty fish as it was skinny,overly battered and salty. Spaghetti had flavor but was cold. I received a hot replacement but was met with side eye rolling attitude.Fries were crunchy and nicely seasoned.

So we are from another state and went there to eat brunch. We were greeted by a server that asked if we had reservations which we didn’t mind you there was only 4-5 in the establishment at that time. So she went to go get her manager(I guess) and he says that we all wouldn’t be able to sit together since we didn’t have reservations which we were fine with but yet and still we all were by each other so why couldn’t the tables be put together. We proceed to sit down when the “manager” asks my daughter what she wants to drink; she wanted a mimosa; she asks for what kind they have he proceeds with an attitude you are only 18 or 19 you can’t order one without at least checking ID. Proceeding to eventually tell her the flavors of the mimosas. After all this then my daughter is explaining to my sister(her aunt) about what happened then a server takes it upon herself to interrupt their conversation which of course my daughter spoke up. Respect is respect and they were very rude. Would not recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wanted to support a black owned business and this is what happened. After all this there was no way we were staying. We left.. If I could give zero stars I would.

I had Shrimp & Grits for a filling weekend brunch. It was well-seasoned and rich, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. Many of the other things we got were pretty much stock restaurant fare, but still good and very reasonably priced. I did not know that they also roast coffee, so I am excited to go back for some of their specialty coffees and to pick up some beans for making coffee at home.

I’ve been wanting to try this place but wasn’t sure if children were allowed so we did a pick up order instead. The food was amazing!! If you like your food seasoned then you need to try this place. My husband ordered the catfish and that came with rice, eggs, and a hashbrown. I don’t eat fish at all but was pleasantly surprised with their’s. It wasn’t over powered with a fish taste and the seasonings were on point. The veggie and meat omelet came packed with item’s and every bite was mouth watering. They put plenty of cheese and it’s inside the omelet like it should be. If you love biscuits I highly recommend ordering a side of them. Honestly they were the best biscuits I’ve ever tasted. The waffle was amazing and my girl’s ate it without syrup it was so tasty. Hands down this is the best place we’ve ate at since being here and will be back!!

My father launched his book release event here and it was such a lovely venue! Holds 50 people comfortably. It was many of our first time and we all vowed to be back! The ambiance inside is warm and welcoming and i found out it’s black owned! The Ethiopian coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had and I was even able to purchase freshly ground beans!!! Will for sure be back!
