I had an overall great experience when I went the other day with a friend. The atmosphere of the restaurant was modern and upscale. It would be accessible for anyone with mobility issues or using a wheelchair, as there were no stairs out front. Our server was friendly and funny. He made it an enjoyable experience. The drink we originally wanted could not made due missing an ingredient, but he recommended a lemon drop and that was fantastic. Since they just opened, many menu items could not be ordered, but they still had a large selection available. There were many vegetarian options. The pasta portions were large and we had enough to take home for the next day. My friend had ordered chicken in her pasta and it was never added. Also I had ordered a different dessert than the one I received. Other than those two small mishaps, we enjoyed it immensely. We will definitely be back again soon!

Food is excellent. Music is pleasant and the live piano music is a real nice touch. Prices are good. Upscale look and atmosphere, you would not feel out of place if you dress up to come here. 9-4-21 update.. I can not recommend the Frita pizza, but the bread and dipping oil is awesome and salads are excellent

Most of the bad reviews are from people who don’t understand that when a new place opens, its a little chaotic and the waiters and waitresses aren’t going to have the menu memorized. Everyone has to get used to each other, it takes time. That being said: the food was wonderful and hot and a much larger portion than I could finish. The staff was very welcoming and polite! And its not expensive like people on here keep saying. Its Shelby expensive yes but I believe the prices are appropriate. I will definitely come back here again and potentially get takeout as well.

The food was very nasty and soggy and all we got was simple Calzones. None of us ate other than bread that was okay. We left probably 5 minutes after receiving the food because it was so nasty.. The waiter didn’t even ask why we were leaving and what was wrong with the food. He also constantly watched the tv in there and we had to get up once because he was so into the tv and wasn’t checking up on us to see how everything was and we needed new drinks. The tea wasn’t good and then the new mellow yellow had no flavor.. basically looked like water with bubbles. The waiter also told me he would see if they could make the food I wanted that they did not make anymore just to never say they weren’t making it and didn’t even say anything when they brought my second choice out.. which was fine but I still would have loved to know what I was getting? Very disappointed and I feel so many things were wrong so we won’t be back.. the food isn’t the cheapest either. I’m including pictures of my “mellow yellow” both are the same.. just the bubbles went away after a little bit.

We ordered take out, and once we got home the bottom of the bag dropped out in our car. We called Kozi and they never hesitated to remake our food . We went to pick up our new order and it was hot . Food was great, customer service was good.
