I really like that you can buy items a la cart like a street taco and a tamale. The service is great and it’s a cute little place with fun art and the signature huge horse statues from their 22nd Ave location. The food is good, fresh and reasonably priced.

Chile Verde is an excellent restaurant offering truly authentic Mexican cuisine. I recently enjoyed a Quesadilla and margarita there, and I was thoroughly impressed. The Quesadilla was packed with flavorful fillings, and the tortilla had a perfect crispness. The margarita was refreshing and expertly made. The staff members were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Chile Verde is a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious, genuine Mexican food.

Terribly bland, tasteless food, with minimal effort put into the preparation, and very misleading descriptions of the dishes in reality to the actual thing. I ordered the chicken quesadillas and a side of rice and beans. The chicken used in the quesadillas was minced with a tasteless seasoning. The fajita vegetables were non existent amounting to a lump of raw diced onion dropped in the middle of the tortillas with some minced cilantro. A sprinkle of bland cheese was added on top of that, and there was the final product. A very sorry excuse for a really simple dish. The rice and beans to go along were also bland, mushy and tasteless. By far the worst quesadillas I have ever ordered from any restaurant.

Food is excellent, service is very poor. I walked in and placed a carryout order, they were quite busy and the cashier said it world be 25-30 min. No problem.. after 30 min I inquired about my order, and it was the one that had been sitting off to the side for 20 min. I said “it really would have been nice to have been notified that my order was ready” and she took quite an attitude and said “well we’re very busy, it is Cinco de Mayo you know” I had already written a 20% tip on my check, but after she starting running her mouth ( not just at me, I’d been there 30 minutes watching the chaos and waiting for my food and she got very mouthy with a few other customers) I took my tip of off the bill and signed the total. She said “that’s very ride and disrespectful to remove my tip… and some expletives”. Had it not been so chaotic in there I would have spoken to a manager, but didn’t want to waste his time… or mine. I don’t usually feel obligated to leave a tip for a cashier, but I could see how slammed they were and tried to be thoughful. This little mouthy girl at the register needs a lesson in customer service.

Taco Tuesday shout-out to Chili Verde who knocks it out the park with delicious authentic Mexican food. Their food is simply some well. We had the carne asada tacos, tacos el pastor, chimichanga, guacamole and chips. Seriously delicious and so are their margaritas. Did you say you can take the drinks to go?!? You sure can!!! You guys, can we PLEASE support our local restaurants. They had to go orders but we’re relatively empty. I would hate to see this location on the south side to not make it. Let’s go order some great Mexican food!!!!
