Oh my word!! I have been going aroud Des Moines trying different BBQ places, this place stands out!! I got the brisket, fried okra and slaw, the brisket was so tender you couldn’t keep it on the fork! So delicious! The slaw was extremely fresh and crunchy! The fried okra was so fresh and just the right crunch! It comes with a corn muffins that is very good too! Now I know why everyone says this place has amazing food! They really do! Gotta come try this!

I assumed this would be good given how many reviews called it the best bbq in Des Moines, but somehow I was still surprised. Had the plate with brisket and pulled pork – both were perfect. Their sauce is great but I love that they lightly drizzle it instead of pouring so you can appreciate the meat flavor. The beans have some fun pepper bites and the coleslaw was the biggest win for me. It was lightly dressed, sweet, fresh and crunchy! The perfect accompaniment for all the warm, smokey and savory flavors. Please keep this place in business. Des Moines deserves at least one incredible BBQ spot!

Got Pit Stop BBQ at 80/35 and it was amazing. Some of best BBQ I’ve had in the state and the staff working the food truck were excellent. The pulled pork sandwich and the cheesesteak were great.

The best barbecue we have had in Des Moines! We had the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches delivered through DoorDash and the only suggestion I have would be to package the meat and buns separately so the bread doesn’t get mushy but not a big deal. We tried all the sides and they were all amazing. My husband is picky about baked beans and he loved them.
