Quiet little BBQ place out Guthrie hwy. Can’t miss the giant black and white cow in the gravel lot. We had the chicken bbq and the pork bbq, corn bread and cole slaw for lunch. For desserts, we got chess pie and chocolate pie. The BBQ had a bitter, artificial smoke taste. Meh, rather boring. The Mac and cheese needed salt and butter. The cole slaw? Tasted like what you buy premade at the grocery store. The corn bread was cold and mealy. The iced tea was warm as they were out of ice. The gal handling the cash register and who brought out our meals was very friendly and extremely helpful. It’s not worth the trip.

I and the rib plate with 2 sides and a drink for $12. The food was excellent! The rings were moist, nice smoky flavor and fell off the bone tender. I will be visiting Red Top again next time I’m in the area. Stop in and try them.

Food was REALLY good!. Hot and seemed to be fresh. Had really good flavor. After my main order, I went back to the counter and ordered more side dishes just to sample them. Hubby even got more ribs to take home.

BBQ Pork plate at Red Top was the best pork barbecue I’ve found in KY or TN in the 28 years we’ve lived here – plenty of ‘bark’/outside meat in the mix – and a lot of it. . Needed more sauce than they provided. Pork chop was huge and cooked to perfection. Sides – potato salad, BBQ beans(with BBQ pork in ’em!), fried okra, mac & cheese were all very good, and decent portions. Cornbread was excellent. Prices were unbelievably low for the portions provided. Can’t wait for my next trip to Guthrie!

Lots of options menu wise. I purchased a lb of pulled pork. It didn’t have a lot of flavor, considering it had a strong smoke odor. Clean restaurant and fast friendly service. I placed my order over the phone.

Good food for the price. Being from Louisiana I’m not use to flat cornbread. We got (2) 2 meat plates with 2 sides. The ribs , sausage and brisket were very good. The baked beans had a good flavor. The potato salad was ok. I like the fact that it is small place. Nothing fancy. Atmosphere has a country feel. People are very nice. If you are passing by I suggest stopping in to try the food.
