Service was quick, maybe not too happy to have a single individual as a patron at a table on July 4th. Seating me already put strained question marks in the hosts’ faces (“it’s just you?”). I sat outside near the host/entrance. Anyhow, the feta watermelon salad came out quick and was OK. Decent size, but nothing too special in preparation and presentation.

Solidly mediocre seafood for the price. Got whole lobster, crab cakes, and chowder. Just meh. Atmosphere with live music and busy bar was cool if that is all you are looking for, but the not very flavorful seafood is definitely a buzzkill, especially at these prices.

The food and vibe at John Scott’s is always consistent and are two of my favorite parts of summer. Killer sunsets, perfect laid back no hassle post beach spot that’s as much fun with buddies as it is with friends, family, and the kids.

Great hotel near to beach serving delicious food and cocktails. Live music makes the ambience more lively and happy. We had an amazing lobsters roll here. It’s better to reserve a table here before you go as it’s always busy. We had to wait for an hour to get a table. The staff was really nice and helpful. We would like to visit this place again for sure.
