Amazing fish and chips. This time, the fish and the batter could have used a bit more salt. But I’d rather they be a bit under salted than over salted. Amazing value for the quality. Fries are good.

We have been driving to Arlo’s from Vancouver for 3 years . It is hands down the best fish and chips we have ever had. Lightly breaded large ,moist chunks of cod with their freshly cut fries. The 4 piece is enough to split. An article in the Vancouver Columbian touted a new “English”fish and chips trailer on Anderson rd.We were excited to try it and did. We were very disappointed in the quality and taste. We aren’t going back but have been to Arlo’s 4 or 5 times since.We can’t wait to get there and they never let us down. It is well worth the drive to the St Johns area in north Portland for this gem

I think it was divine intervention that brought my wife and myself to Arlo’s. The idea just popped into my head that fish and chips sounded good. Checked google to find a close place. Arlo’s turned out to be the closest. Holy s#@t! We ordered the four piece and it was almost to much for the two of us. I have never had fish and chips so beautiful and the flavor and consistency was above and beyond comparison. The folks working the establishment were also top shelf. Can’t wait to go back.

Fantastic fish and chips! We are very picky when it comes to fish and chips and Arlo’s definitely does not disappoint. The best fish and chips we have had in the Portland area and definitely worth a stop.

Perfectly fried and crispy outside, moist flaky inside. The pieces of fish I got were excellent. The fries are pretty good with them. Ratio of fish to chips for a 4-piece is well balanced.

Ordered the 4 piece expecting 4 small pieces, which is what we’re used to with fish and chips, but got 6 huge pieces. So definitely get a bang for your buck here. The fish was super crispy and flavorful. The chips were thicker cut and well done. My only complaint is that the tartar sauce wasn’t tartary enough – seemed like it was mostly mayo and not enough of everything else.

We have been driving from Parkrose to St. Johns to Arlos. We were disappointed yesterday to find that the fries have changed. The food wasn’t as good without those fries they made previously. Not sure we’ll make the trek for this in the future sadly 🙁
