There are a few places in the country that offer such a magical combination of delicious food, charming ambiance, beautiful views, and friendly service. Chautauqua dining hall is definitely one of those magical places.

Great old restaurant and bar with old school charm. The service was excellent and loved the food there. After hike down it is great place to have some drink and food with your friends and family. Would love to visit again. This was opened in late 19th century so you will definitely experience vibe

We hadn’t been here in many years and wanted to give it a try for lunch recently. The outside tables under the roof are quite charming and it’s nice to have few people around you, it feels kind of private. The “American” french onion soup was decent, maybe a bit thin on flavor. Crispy brussels sprouts was nicely put together. Chai was really weak, surprisingly bad. Service is attentive though the servers just walk up to your table and start talking even if you are in mid-sentence in a conversation with one of your table partners. Not quite professional. Food came out quickly. I thought overall that the food was good but nothing special. But the atmosphere is really nice especially in hot, sunny mid-summer.

We live in town and hike the trails all the time, but today we spontaneously decided to stop in for brunch and were not disappointed!! We were seated right away on the porch, which was shaded and lovely. Enjoyed mimosas and the skillet hash and huevos rancheros – both were absolutely delicious! Very kind service also. Can’t believe we haven’t taken advantage of this local gem more often!

Vibrant plates & great atmosphere (sit on the Southwest side of the patio for dinner) SO GOOD that we came back the next evening for dinner with the same friends! Relaxed vibe, farm to table cuisine & great seasonal menu… Can’t beat the view

At the last minute, I requested a reservation for my husband’s birthday (for high tea) .. I was pleasantly surprised that Melissa worked some magic, and got us a table (same day). All the waitstaff (Matt was our waiter) was attentive and kind. The food was scrumptious. In particular the butternut squash soup was wonderful. The atmosphere at the dining hall is unique & cozy. We have dined here several times and it is always delightful!

Top notch spot to spend an afternoon with friends or would make a perfect breakfast date, lunch date. The atmosphere is hard to beat, the view is hard to beat and the porch was fantastic and so relaxing. I had the most amazing blintzes and the Blue Bell drink was SO delicious, it’s a like a lavender lemonade but extra specially good! Make sure that you make this spot a regular when you’re in Boulder. You will not be sorry!!

We went to the park many times and decided to eat dinner here one of the days. Typical tourist trap type restaurant. The average patron seemed to be either very elderly or part of some large party. The view from the deck is good but the food – not so much. The burgers were all burnt (I am not talking about flame grilled – you could taste ash) 2 of the 3 orders were not eaten. Told the waitress – was apathetic.

Second time here and the food, staff, and scenery can’t be beat! They have game meat at times on the menu for decent prices and the rustic feel of the dining hall makes the experience warm and inviting. Drinks are made perfectly too. It is fancy enough for a wedding, especially with the views overlooking Boulder, but has a genuinely historic feel to it that doesn’t make it pretentious. They have perfectly balanced smart casual to elegant dining if wanted. The Dining Hall does have a handful of parking spaces up in front. This won’t be my last time here!

This is the 1st time that we have been there for lunch in a couple of years. Our food was less than good. All five of us had different plates. The tacos were pretty spicy. Bison burger over cooked. Chicken wings not real great. Fries looked like the bottom of the barrel. Over cooked and mostly ends. My turkey burger was good along with the omelet that one of had. And it didn’t look over busy. Not sure I’ll return. The views and grounds are beautiful. Good hiking in the area. Oh, and parking is limited.
