We have eaten many times in the past and wanted to visit our old haunts again. We were waited on by the grandson of the original owner and a classmate of ours from Roosevelt. We had a wonderful time reminiscing. The drinks were great, the Fajitas’ vegetables were delicious, and the shrimp was tasty but a little overcooked.

I know that many people like this place but it’s not my cup of tea. I find the food just ok, not horrible but really not flavorful like I like it. Starting with the small one-ply napkin to the thin, saltless, store chips to the bland unspicy salsa. The seafood quesadilla I ordered was not bad. Too bad they were out of sour cream and I could have done without the side of thinly shredded iceberg lettuce and tomato. The service was okay(minimal) I like a little more from my waitstaff. This wasn’t my first time here and I don’t think I will be returning.

Food was ok. The waitress did her best to get the food order right. Two missing items. There was a party of 12 there so maybe that was the confusion. That is why probably our food also took long. So I’m giving her a break because people are probably short-handed everywhere in the industry.

No more kids menu their staple menu dish the 3 item plate is now almost 20 bucks . Must have changed cooks foods not as good enchilada sauce is a different color an taste .tamale was different too an i think it was chicken? Service was great and we always love the restaurant. Been going 30 yrs +

Met a friend for lunch at Javier’s. Staff was friendly and prompt, and the restaurant was clean and tidy. I had a large salad with asada and enjoyed it. I would not hesitate to drop in again for lunch or dinner.
