I really did not enjoy dining here. I ordered Chirashi and a Philadelphia roll. The interior of the Philly roll was about 50% cucumber and I could barely taste any other ingredients. The sashimi in the chirashi was pretty flavorless and contained white tuna (escolar) which I tend to avoid. I left pretty disappointed.

The sushi restaurant is nice and quaint. Small inside but they do offer dinning outside. Order the holiday ball, rising sun and brocolli n garlic in brown sauce. The sushi was absolutely amazing. The broccoli was okay. The brown sauce was not thick but watery. I would recommend

Genuinely disappointed by our server, Amy. My boyfriend and I went with my best friend. My friend and I ordered our sushi rolls and drinks. My boyfriend was planning to share with me so he had not ordered anything. All he asked for was a glass of water. Amy then brought out my friend and I’s drink and then told my boyfriend that she will not give him water because he did not order anything. We were in disbelief at the way she treated us. On top of that, my friend ordered sushi without sesame seeds as she is extremely allergic to them and they gave her a plate with sesame seeds on them. When she sent it back to be remade, they plated the sushi on the same plate with a few sesame seeds on the plate. Overall I am appalled at the service Amy had given us and will not be returning here again.

I’ve been here before and loved this place and suggested it to my friends, however i have to say I was highly disappointed with the service this time around. I came with 2 of my friends, only me and her were getting food, our third friend only asked for water and they refused to give him even a glass of water because he did not order anything else. literally this has never happened to me before anywhere even starbucks would give you a cup of water for free. i am also very upset because i am highly allergic to sesame, and they put sesame on my sushi after i made it clear not to due to my allergy. they re made it and there was still pieces of sesame here and there. the food was still good, but not worth the trouble.

Tiny and cute restaurant in the heart of the town of Metuchen, NJ. Definitely, it is one of the best sushi place around NJ area. We ordered miso & salad, then sushi spicy maki combo. In addition, we chose sashimi, which was pretty unique. Even though this sashimi was a thick cut, it was literally melting in your mouth. Another thing I want to point out is that I am not a big fun of wasabi, but this one had a lighter color and it was not as spicy as the ones I previously tasted. On a side note, customer service needs to improve their smile skills. Sushi Suzuki was overall a good experience.

The food was great, but the service was absolutely awful. The waitress was not just rude but downright nasty. I brought 3 kids after school for a treat, the restaurant was empty and I could not believe how the wait staff spoke and acted.

This restaurant is so amazing, don’t believe the 4 4 rating we saw yesterday. Fantastic sushi and maki. Our friend, who doesn’t eat fish, simply loved the teriyaki chicken, noodles with fantastic black pepper flavor. Tom yum soup, so cool at a Japanese restaurant! . Shrimp app stellar too. Family run. They really care.
